Package Tour Itinerary: Unforgettable Morocco From Fez

Upon arrival at Fez airport, you will be greeted by an English-speaking assistant to provide you with all the necessary information for your stay in the city and accompany you in the transfer to the hotel in one of our private vehicles and help you with registration.

The rest of the day will be to relax and enjoy the city at your own pace. Fez is the third most populous city in the country and one of the four imperial cities along with Meknes, Marrakech and Rabat. It is considered the capital of Islam in Morocco because its university is famous for the study of Arabic and the Muslim religion. It also has the largest pedestrian medina (old quarter) in the world declared a World Heritage Site.

After a delicious breakfast you will begin the visit through the Golden Doors of the Royal Palace, seven bronze doors of different sizes represent the seven days of the week and the seven levels of the monarchy. You will visit the Medina (old quarter) with its Madrasa of Bou Anania (the madrasas are the Islamic schools), the Nejjarine Fountain, one of the most beautiful in the medina and the oldest in Fez, the Karaouine Mosque, one of the most important centers cultures of Islam with a library with more than 30,000 copies, in addition to the headquarters of the University of Fez, and the Mausoleum of Moulay Idriss, the most revered saint in Morocco.

You  will make a stop along the way in the famous neighborhood of the tanners, unique in the world, to later have lunch (not included). In the afternoon you will continue to get to know Fez and its beautiful artisan neighborhoods divided by guilds. Finally you will return to the hotel to stay.

Greca Tip: It is worth sitting in one of the restaurants in Bab Lahdim Square and watching life go by while having a tea or a cane juice.

After a wonderful breakfast, departure to Ifran, a mountainous city located in the Middle Atlas, with a cold climate, which has influenced its European-style urbanism reminiscent of Switzerland. It is a winter tourist destination for Moroccans who come here to ski. You will take a short walk and cross the famous cedar forests until you reach the city of Midelt (Morocco's leading apple producer), in the heart of the Atlas and offering wonderful views where you will have lunch freely (not included).

Then you will go to the capital of the Tafilalet area, the city of Errachidía, at the foot of the Atlas Mountains, which was a military base city for the French Foreign Legion and today an important administrative, commercial, military and university center. You will take a short walk and continue to the town of Erfoud, considered the gateway to the true desert and an ancient commercial center. Movies such as "The Mummy", "Prince of Persia" or "Spectrum" from the James Bond saga have been shot here. Accommodation and dinner at the hotel.

Greca Tip: Don't forget to keep your camera's battery fully charged.

After your fabulous traditional breakfast, you will go to make a panoramic visit to the town of Rissani, near Erfoud, cradle of the current dynasty (Alawite dynasty) and ancient commercial center, where you will be able to observe one of the most curious things you will ever see, donkey parking.

You will continue to one of the most incredible landscapes of your adventure "the Todra Gorges" and one of the most spectacular rocky canyons in the world, a place of great reputation among climbers. Free time for lunch (not included) and heading to Ouarzazate (the door of the desert) passing through "the route of the kasbahs", citadels built more than 1000 years ago in adobe, decorated with simple geometric motifs and that represent the Berber culture.

Arrival in Ouarzazate, dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Greca Tip: Visit the Al Mouahidine square in Ouarzazate, a quite busy place full of cafes, restaurants and small shops.

Ouarzazate, known as "the door of the desert", is close to the Atlas Mountains and was a small trading point on the journey of African traders to reach northern Morocco and Europe. During the French colonial period it served as a supply city, administrative center, customs office and base for the French aviation. The most important film studios in Morocco (Atlas Studios), the largest in the world, are also located here.

After a delicious breakfast you will leave for the High Atlas mountains to Col of Tizi N'Tichka, to reach one of the important points of the trip: the Kasbah of Ait Ben Hadou, an old obligatory stop for camel caravans, declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Humanity by UNESCO. Considered the most impressive ksar (fortified city) in southern Morocco and the best preserved in the country, which as the sun shines takes on different shades of red depending on the time of day. It has also served as the setting for numerous films.

Finally arrival in Marrakech for dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Greca Tip: Don't forget the camera.

After a delicious breakfast, you will begin your visit to the city of Marrakech: You will start with the Menara Gardens, on the outskirts of the city. It is a 14-hectare park in the center of which is an immense 12th-century pond. Later you will go to the city center to see the majestic Koutoubia minaret, twin tower of the Giralda in Seville.

You will also visit the Bahia Palace built in the 19th century, the Berber Pharmacy, where you will find all kinds of natural remedies. The visit will end in a magical place: the Yemaa el Fna (People's Assembly) Square, declared a World Heritage Site.

In the morning you will find sellers of orange juice and other fruit, wicker baskets, souvenirs, sweets, jewelry, dentists, healers, commissioned writers. This universe becomes particularly fascinating at nightfall, when the square is lit up with a thousand lights. Free afternoon and return to the hotel for accommodation.

Greca Tip: Try a fabulous orange juice in Djemaa el Fna Square, you won't regret it.

After a tasty breakfast you will leave for the city of Casablanca, which you will begin to visit along the Boulevard of the Corniche, the seafront promenade and the coastal road, through which you reach Anfa (old neighborhoods of the historic city), famous for its luxurious houses.

The tour will take you to the exterior of the Great Mosque of Hassan II, a monumental and modern work (sliding roof and resistance to earthquakes) that holds the title of the third largest mosque in the world after Mecca and Medina (optionally you can visit inside). It is the most representative monument of the 20th century. Return to the hotel for dinner and overnight.

Greca Tip: Don't miss the views of the sea from the Great Mosque of Hassan II.

After an exquisite breakfast and at the agreed time, transfer to Casablanca airport.

After spending a few fantastic days with Greca, we hope to see you again to enjoy some wonderful moments that will remain forever in your memory.

Have a good trip, or as you say yourself, Rihlat saeida!
