Greek Islands and Athens from Samos in 9 days

Upon our arrival on the dazzling island of Samos, one of our private vehicles will be waiting to transfer us to the selected hotel.

The rest of the day will be at our disposal to begin exploring the charms of this island, which will captivate us from the very first moment.

Samos, a gem of the Aegean Sea, welcomes us with mountainous and coastal landscapes. From the heights of Mount Kerkis, the view spans from picturesque villages to the shimmering Aegean Sea.

Beaches with crystal-clear waters stretch along the coast, such as Kokkari Beach and the bay of Pythagorion. We cannot pass on exploring the mystical Cave of Pythagoras, where history and legend intertwine.

After enjoying our breakfast, we will head to Karlovasi Port, on the island of Samos, to board the ferry and begin our journey towards Mykonos.

As we sail across the Aegean Sea, we will leave behind the landscapes of Samos and head towards one of the most iconic islands of the Cyclades. According to tradition, the name Mykonos is associated with Mykono, son of the radiant god Apollo, and could therefore be interpreted as “place of light.”

Upon arrival, one of our representatives will be waiting to welcome us and accompany us on the transfer to our hotel, where we can settle in and learn more about the island. The rest of the day will be free to begin enjoying Mykonos at our own pace, strolling through its charming streets, admiring the sea, or simply embracing the relaxed slow life that characterizes the island and its inhabitants.

At the end of the day, we will return to the hotel to rest.

Greca Tip: For Monday departures, please note that the ferry from Samos to Mykonos operates during the early morning hours, approximately between 3:00 and 4:00 a.m. This will allow us to arrive in Mykonos in the morning and have the entire day to begin enjoying the island.

You will have another free day on this beautiful island to enjoy its beaches, dine in the fine restaurants by the sea, and wander in all the alleys of the town center, where you can find some wonderful souvenirs and gifts for family and friends.

Greca Tip: The Meltemi winds can be quite strong along the shoreline, and it may get a bit chilly after sunset, so do not forget to carry a light sweater or jacket.

After a tasty breakfast, appreciating life like a Greek, our representative will pick you up at the agreed time, in one of our private vehicles, to drive you to the port, where you will continue to your next destination, the island which is an inexhaustible source of inspiration, Santorini. Approaching the island, you will have the opportunity to admire the capital city of Fira, with its white houses perched on the cliffside and facing the volcano.

Upon your arrival, one of our English-speaking representatives will be waiting for you at the port to welcome you, escort you to your hotel and comment a little more on the attractions of this picturesque island. The rest of the day is free to wander through the narrow streets and become part of this amazing world.

Greca Tip: Sit back and enjoy one of the most beautiful sunsets in the world from one of the coffee shops in glamorous Oia.

Today, we have a free day to discover the wonders of this mystical island, Santorini, often referred to as the lost continent of Atlantis. Take your time to immerse yourself in its captivating beauty and embrace the sense of adventure.

Optionally, you can embark on an unforgettable sailboat tour that will transport you to the breathtaking Nea and Palea Kameni islands within the caldera. Discover the natural hot springs with their mesmerizing green and yellow waters. Throughout the tour, the splendid capital city of Fira will serve as a picturesque backdrop, adding to the charm of the experience.

Greca Tip: For a more comprehensive exploration of the island, we recommend renting a car. This will allow us to discover hidden gems, indulge in the island's renowned wine, and savor the exceptional local cuisine. It's the perfect way to fully embrace the essence of this remarkable destination.

At the agreed time, we will transfer you to the new port of Santorini, Athinios, where you will board the ferry back to Athens.

In the evening, upon your arrival at Piraeus, you will be transferred to your hotel, for a good rest and a rejuvenating sleep.

Today, you will enjoy a delightful breakfast and prepare for a wonderful day as you discover the city of Athens and its fascinating blend of history and modernity.

During the panoramic tour, you will admire the Athenian Trilogy (National Library, University, and Academy of Athens), the Presidential Mansion, the Panathenaic Stadium (Kallimarmaro), where the first modern Olympic Games were held, the Zappeion, the majestic Temple of Olympian Zeus, which for centuries was one of the largest temples in Greece, and Hadrian’s Arch, built in honor of the Roman emperor.

The itinerary includes a visit to the Acropolis, symbol of the classical world and home to the Parthenon, a masterpiece of Greek architecture; the Erechtheion, with its famous Caryatids; and the Temple of Athena Nike, dedicated to the goddess of victory. You will admire the history and legends surrounding these monuments while enjoying panoramic views of Athens from the hill.

The tour concludes at a central point in the city, ideal for continuing to explore Athens at your own pace. Later, you will head at your own rhythm to Monastiraki to join the “Athens by Night” tour, enjoying a walking tour through Plaka and Anafiotika, admiring the illuminated Acropolis, and passing by iconic sites such as Athens Cathedral and Ermou Street, while discovering how the city comes alive under the moonlight.
