These temples are part of the Open Air Museum of Nubia and Aswan, and are close to their original location, where they were relocated, piece by piece, due to the increase in the flow of the Nile River that caused the construction of the Aswan Dam. The rock-cut temples were commissioned by Ramses II and completed within 20 years to commemorate the Battle of Kadesh, being dedicated to the worship of the great deities without forgetting, of course, Ramses himself. The main landmark of the complex is the temple of Ramses II, whose main façade has four amazing statues that represent the majesty of Ancient Egypt. Then you will embark to visit the inaccessible island of Philae and thus be able to see the temple built in honor of the goddess Isis and which, like the temples of Abu Simbel and other of Egypt, had to be moved from its location due to the danger of being covered by the flooding of the Nile.
