After you arrive at the Zagreb Airport, a car will be waiting to transfer you to the hotel.

The rest of the day you will relax and enjoy the capital of Croatia, a wonderful medieval city with beautiful streets, monumental buildings, and a gastronomy that will not disappoint you.

Greca Tip: The börek is a crispy, soft, and fine puff pastry that is filled with minced meat, vegetables, cheese, and onion. You will find it in many street stalls.

After a tasty breakfast, you will take the walking tour around Zagreb featuring the historic Upper Town, St. Mark’s Church from the 13th century whose interior can be considered as a sculpture, with a spectacular roof of colored tiles, St. Catherine’s Church, the Cathedral, Parliament, and Government Palace.

After the sightseeing, you will proceed to the picturesque Kvarner Bay, more precisely to Opatija, the cradle of Croatian tourism and the city which used to be the favorite spa resort of the Habsburgs and the European aristocracy including famous personalities such as Mahler, Chekhov, and Isadora Duncan.

After breakfast, you will get to know the Istrian peninsula, a large triangular peninsula located in the northern part of the Adriatic Sea. It is shared by three countries: Croatia, Slovenia, and a small part of Italy.

Istria is known for its diverse landscape, rich history, and cultural heritage. Here, you will visit the 2000-year-old Roman amphitheater located in Pula. It is one of the six largest surviving Roman arenas in the world and is still used today for various events, including concerts, film festivals, and historical reenactments.

Afterward, you will have time to relax and walk around Rovinj, perhaps the most beautiful city in Istria and the inspiration of many artists. Rovinj is a picturesque coastal town in Croatia, located on the western coast of the Istrian Peninsula. 

Later, you will depart towards Motovun, a small medieval town situated on a hill in the Istrian Peninsula of Croatia. It is known for its well-preserved historic architecture, stunning views of the surrounding countryside, and its association with the truffle-rich forests of Istria. Here you will have some time for free to walk around the city and at the designated time you will go back to Opatija to spend the night.

Greca Tip: Istrian cuisine is renowned for its delicious and diverse offerings. The region is known for truffles, olive oil, wine, and fresh seafood. Traditional dishes often include a variety of locally sourced ingredients.

After a tasty breakfast, you will visit the most beautiful and the oldest national park in Croatia, under UNESCO protection consisting of 16 lakes connected by magnificent waterfalls. This park is located in the mountainous region of Lika and is visited mostly on foot.

However, the entrance to the spectacular Plitvice Lakes National Park includes a boat ride across the Emerald Green Lake "Kozjak". The visit to the park grounds takes approximately 3 hours and reveals a special turquoise magic.

After enjoying these wonderful landscapes, you will go to the hotel in Plitvice for dinner and accommodation.

After breakfast at the hotel, you will be driven via the coast towards the city of Zadar. The historic town of Zadar is rich in cultural and historical monuments. Here, you can see The Roman Forum dated to the 1st century AD, and the church of St. Donatus, dated to the 9th century AD.

Of special interest are the famous Zadar Sea Organs, one of a kind in the world. It consists of a series of pipes and resonating cavities that produce musical sounds as the sea waves interact with them.

From Zadar, you will continue to a local winery in the Dalmatian hinterland. You will taste authentic Dalmatian wines and international Cuvees accompanied by delicious Croatian-style Tapas.

In the afternoon you will depart towards Split overnight.

After a delicious breakfast, you will take the sightseeing tour to Split which is the handiwork of seventeen centuries of men and women building and remodeling, adding, tearing down, and touching up, so that 18th-century houses intersect with ancient Roman walls and fourth-century chambers now house the twentieth-century apartments.

At the core of this sprawling cityscape is the palace that Emperor Diocletian built for his golden years at the turn of the fourth century. At noon you will lunch a traditional Dalmatian dish prepared for the most exclusive chefs at the Tragos restaurant in Trogir.

The town of Trogir, a UNESCO site, has a fascinating 2300 years of continuous urban tradition. Its rich culture was created under the influence of old Greeks, Romans, and Venetians. With a high concentration of palaces, churches, and towers, as well as a fortress on a small island, Trogir is sometimes referred to as the floating museum town.

After the visit, you will go back to your hotel in Split overnight.

After breakfast you will go on your way to Dubrovnik, in the middle of the trip you will make a stop near the town of Ston to visit a local winery and taste the famous Plavac Mali wine, a very close relative to the Zinfandel.

In this winery, the traditional wine-making business has been passed on for generations, offering a unique story everyone wants to hear. The wine tasting includes a wine presentation on all the specifics of the wine-making process, wine tasting, and a snack.

Once in Dubrovnik and after some free time, you will have dinner at the hotel.

Dubrovnik is a stunning coastal city in southern Croatia, known for its well-preserved medieval architecture, historic Old Town, and beautiful location along the Adriatic Sea.

Greca Tip: Dubrovnik gained international fame as a filming location for the popular TV series "Game of Thrones." Many iconic scenes were filmed within the city walls, attracting fans of the show.

Once you have breakfast and at the indicated time, you will meet the guide to do a walking tour around the city.

Completed in the thirteenth century; the old city of Dubrovnik has remained unchanged since. Its medieval ramparts encircle the Old Town which can be entered through one of the two gates.

Once you cross a stone bridge under the watchful gaze of the city’s patron Saint Blaise (Vlaho), you will find yourself joining the walk down the broad, stone-paved promenade known as Stradun.

After the sightseeing, you will have the rest of the day free to explore the city on your own.
