1
ATHENS - THE CRADLE OF CIVILIZATION WITH A NIGHT WALKING TOUR

After your arrival in the mythical city of Athens, the transfer to your hotel will be conducted in one of our private vehicles. A member of our English speaking team will meet you at your hotel, help you with the check-in, inform you of all the details of your trip, introduce you to the city and its everyday way of life and answer any questions you may have.

The rest of the day is free for you to relax and enjoy Athens at your own pace.

In the evening you will join our guided walking tour, where you will have the chance to see and hear about the history of many important landmarks in the most charming districts of the capital, such as Anafiotika, Thissio, Monastiraki, and Plaka.

Greca Tip: Extend your stay by adding nights during Step 1 of 3 of your reservation!

FROM ATHENS TO METEORA BY TRAIN AND SUNSET TOUR
2
FROM ATHENS TO METEORA BY TRAIN AND SUNSET TOUR

The tour begins at Larissa train station in central Athens, where you will board the train at 07:20 am to Kalambaka station (Meteora). Enjoy a picturesque train journey through the beautiful Greek countryside and at around 11:30 am you will arrive in Kalambaka. Your driver will be waiting for you to welcome and transfer you to your hotel.

In the afternoon, you will begin your sunset tour of the area, starting from one of the six operating monasteries of Meteora, Agios Stefanos or Roussanou. You will visit the oldest standing monument, the Byzantine church of Virgin Mary located in the old town of Kalambaka. This church, built in the early Christian period and with ancient marble embedded in its walls, tells the story of the city spanning 27 centuries. You will then head to the ancient hermitages of Badovas, hear about the stories and legends and enjoy the breath-taking panoramic views. As the sun begins to set, slowly descending upon the mountain ridges, you will climb to the top of the Meteora rocks, a magical place, for a pure, joyous and uninterrupted experience. Up there, you will feel the night breeze blowing amidst these cliffs and you will fill your senses with the splendour of nature. This will be the perfect way to end a beautiful day at Meteora. After sunset, you will return to your accommodation and enjoy a good rest.

Dress code in the monasteries: Sleeveless shirts and shorts are not permitted. Visitors can use the skirts, shawls and trousers available at the entrance of the monasteries, in the event that they do not carry appropriate clothing to cover themselves with.

Greca Tip: Roam the maze-like cobblestone lanes of the old centre and shop around for local handmade embroidery, leather sandals and carved wooden handicrafts.

KALAMBAKA - MORNING TOUR AND THEN BACK TO ATHENS

KALAMBAKA - MORNING TOUR AND THEN BACK TO ATHENS

After a delicious breakfast, we will meet you at the lobby of your hotel to begin an unforgettable morning tour of Meteora.

You will learn which monastery was the first to become established and the reasons behind the monks' decision to try to climb the steep rocks and build the monasteries there. In the panoramic tour that will follow you will enjoy the incredible views and have the chance to take photos of the magnificent scenery.

At around 16:45, your driver will pick you up to transfer you to the train station. At 17:15 the train leaves Kalambaka and arrives in Athens at about 21:30 and one of our drivers will transfer you to your hotel .

Greca Tip: Add extra nights during step 1 of 3 of your reservation to make the most of your stay at each destination.  From Kalambaka you can even travel to Thessaloniki instead of returning to Athens (train connection at Palaiofarsalo).

FROM ATHENS TO FOLEGANDROS- NAVIGATING THE AEGEAN LIKE ODYSSEUS

FROM ATHENS TO FOLEGANDROS- NAVIGATING THE AEGEAN LIKE ODYSSEUS

Early in the morning, your assistant will transfer you in one of our private vehicles to the port of Piraeus, where you will board the ferry to the fascinating island of Folegandros.

Upon your arrival, one of our representatives will be waiting for you to transfer you to your hotel and offer some useful advice about what you could do during your stay in the island. The rest of the day will be free to start enjoying, what many travelers consider the best-kept secret of the Greek Islands, this small, only 11-kilometer long island, from start to finish.

Greca Tip: In the afternoon, we suggest that you make your way from Chora to the church of Panagia of Folegandros. It is a steep climb, but it will not take more than 15 minutes and you are bound to enjoy the beautiful views.

FOLEGANDROS, THE BEST-KEPT SECRET OF THE CYCLADES
5
FOLEGANDROS, THE BEST-KEPT SECRET OF THE CYCLADES

After an exquisite breakfast, you will be able to start enjoying this incredible Cycladic island. We suggest that you visit the oldest and most distinctive area of Folegandros first, Kastro, the old city center, which can be accessed from the town square. It consists of three streets full of old houses painted in white, with bright blue-painted windows and railings.

We recommend visiting Agali Beach, one of the best on the island, which can be accessed through a country road.

Greca Tip: From the church, that is on the way to Fira Beach, you can marvel at the beautiful sunset, but do not relax too much there, as the return path is not lit up.

FROM FOLEGANDROS TO MAGICAL SANTORINI

FROM FOLEGANDROS TO MAGICAL SANTORINI

After a tasty breakfast, appreciating life like a Greek, your driver will pick you up at the agreed time to transfer you to the port of Folegandros, where you will continue on to your next destination, the island, which is an inexhaustible source of inspiration, Santorini. Approaching the island, you will have the opportunity to admire the capital city of Fira, with its white houses overhanging the cliffside and facing the volcano.

Upon your arrival, one of our English-speaking representatives will be waiting for you at the port to welcome you, escort you to your hotel and comment a little more on the attractions of this picturesque island. The rest of the day is free for you to wander through the narrow streets and become part of this amazing world.

Greca Tip: Sit back and enjoy one of the most beautiful sunsets in the world from one of the coffee shops in the glamorous Oia.

DISCOVERING SANTORINI
7
DISCOVERING SANTORINI

Free day to explore, at your own pace, this magical island, considered to be the lost continent of Atlantis. The name of the island was given by the Venetian Giacomo Barozzi due to the presence of a chapel dedicated to Saint Eirini. His descendants remained until 1576, when the island became part of the Duchy of Naxos and until the Turkish conquest by Piyale Pasha.

Optionally, you may choose to go on a dazzling sailboat tour that will take you over to the small islands of the caldera, Nea and Palea Kameni, with the hot springs of green and yellow waters.

Greca Tip: On this free day, we recommend exploring the island, tasting its wine and its excellent local cuisine. We cannot miss tasting the tomatokeftedes (a kind of tomato balls), the fava dishes (a vegetable smaller than a pea) and the cheese called Chloro.

ATHENS - THE RETURN
8
ATHENS - THE RETURN

At the agreed time, you will be transferred to the airport of Athens where you will board the plane.

Having spent a few fantastic days with Greca, we hope to see you again soon to create more extraordinary moments that will be lovingly etched in your memory forever.

Have a nice trip! or as the Greeks say: Kalo taksidi!

Optionally you can add more nights in Santorini during step 1 of 3 of your reservation.

Greca Tip: As a going away gift you can buy a bottle of the indigenous wine varieties of Santorini, such as Assyrtiko, Aidani & Mavrotragano.
