Arrival in Palermo, the capital of Sicily, marks the beginning of a journey through one of the most captivating regions of the Mediterranean, shaped by Arab, Norman and European influences. Upon landing at the airport, we will be transferred to the hotel, passing through a lively city where history, architecture and local traditions blend seamlessly.

Palermo has long been a crossroads of civilizations, and this rich heritage is reflected in its cultural diversity and distinctive atmosphere. After check-in, there will be time to relax after the journey or take a first look at the city’s surroundings and ambiance.

In the evening, we will enjoy a welcome dinner included, offering the perfect introduction to Sicilian cuisine and a warm start to the travel experience.

Greca Tip: Palermo is renowned for its street food culture, considered among the best in Europe, with specialties such as arancini, panelle and cannoli.

After enjoying a delicious breakfast, you will join the morning excursion to Monreale, declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Monreale is famous for its almonds, olive oil, and citrus fruits, not to mention its Norman architecture.

Visit the Cathedral, one of the most beautiful monuments of the world with its Moorish architecture, housing very fine mosaics representing a complete cycle of the Old and New Testaments, and the Benedictine Cloister in Arab-Norman style.

You will then return to Palermo to enjoy a walking tour around the Old Town and its Cathedral. 

Late in the afternoon, you will enjoy some free time and then return to your hotel for a delicious dinner and a rejuvenating sleep.

There are days when each stop along the way feels like a journey within a journey. After a comforting breakfast, your morning begins with a visit to Erice, a charming medieval village perched beside Mount San Giuliano. Wandering its cobbled streets is like opening a book from the 6th century—towers, churches, and walls whisper ancient legends through the mist. Erice has barely changed over the centuries, and you will feel that timeless magic in every step.

Later, we head to Marsala, the land of one of Italy’s most iconic wines. There, you’ll enjoy a unique sensory experience with a visit to a historic winery, including a tasting of local wines and regional delicacies served in a light lunch that captures the essence of Sicily.

In the afternoon, the journey continues to Agrigento, home to the majestic Valley of the Temples, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Walking among the Temple of Concordia, Hercules, and Jupiter is like touching the soul of ancient Greece.

The day ends with dinner and a restful overnight stay in Agrigento.

After a peaceful breakfast at the hotel, your morning takes you to Ragusa, a jewel of Sicilian Baroque and one of the glorious cities that make up the Val di Noto, declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. There awaits Ibla, its enchanting historic center, where every corner feels like a stage frozen in time.

You’ll stroll past palaces and churches that rise like stone sculptures, beginning with the old San Giorgio Gate, the tranquil Iblean Gardens, and quaint Piazza Pola, where the small Church of San Giuseppe will surprise you with its delicate charm. At every turn, Baroque art unfolds like a symphony: the majestic Cathedral of San Giorgio, the mystical Church of the Souls in Purgatory, and the magnificent Cosentini Palace, whose carved balconies seem to whisper tales from another century.

As the afternoon fades, you’ll return to the hotel, where a delightful dinner awaits—a perfect close to a day of serene beauty.

The day begins with breakfast at the hotel before setting out to explore the southeastern region of Sicily, an area renowned for its rich artistic and historical heritage. Our first stop is Noto, a true masterpiece of Sicilian Baroque, where we stroll through its elegant historic center and visit the impressive Cathedral of San Nicolò, a symbol of the city’s reconstruction after the 1693 earthquake.

We then continue to Syracuse, one of the oldest cities in the Mediterranean, to discover the island of Ortigia, its historic heart. Here, narrow streets, baroque churches and medieval palaces reflect centuries of cultural evolution, from ancient Greek origins to later influences. This visit offers a deeper understanding of the city’s historical and strategic significance.

In the afternoon, we proceed to Taormina, one of Sicily’s most iconic destinations, beautifully located between the sea and Mount Etna. Upon arrival, there will be time to relax before enjoying a dinner included at the hotel, marking a pleasant end to a day rich in culture and discovery.

This day awakens the excitement of exploring one of Sicily’s most impressive and vibrant natural landscapes, where the earth’s power manifests in every corner and invites us to connect with the ancient energy of the volcano.

In the morning, after a delicious breakfast at the hotel in the heart of Taormina, we will depart for Mount Etna, the largest active volcano in Europe and the highest mountain in Italy. Here, you will learn about its volcanic activity while admiring the ancient lava fields and black magma rocks that shape this unique, almost lunar landscape. If weather permits, you will have the opportunity to ascend to 1,800 meters to enjoy breathtaking views that will stay with you forever.

At midday, we will return to Taormina, a romantic jewel nestled on Mount Tauro, where you can wander through its charming streets and squares. In the afternoon, after arriving at the hotel, you will have free time to enjoy this magical destination at your own pace.

Greca Tip: To appreciate Taormina at its best, visit the Ancient Theatre viewpoint at sunset, where golden light caresses the sea and the volcano.

After a delicious breakfast, we will be transferred to Catania airport.
