It's a relatively small tourist city with a bustling life around the tourist spots. Undoubtedly, the most popular area among visitors is the Phinikoudes Promenade, with its adjacent beach, wooden pier, beautiful harbor, and a wide range of hotels, bars, and restaurants.
The promenade starts at Vasileos Pavlou Square and leads to Larnaca Castle, a medieval fortress built to defend the southern coast of Cyprus. The fort now houses a historical museum.

Limassol is divided into zones: the central zone houses some of the city's main historical and architectural attractions. Here, you'll find the Old Town Limassol. The Ottoman part was built in the 16th century, and the British part in the late 19th century. The most beautiful places in the area include Agiou Andreou Street, University Square, and Saripolou Square, with many restaurants and cafes. Limassol's main shopping street, Anexartissias, is also located here, with many shops and boutiques.
