Upon arrival in Reykjavik, Iceland’s vibrant capital and the northernmost capital city in the world, you will transfer to your hotel and settle in. Surrounded by dramatic landscapes and a unique blend of modern culture and Nordic heritage, Reykjavik offers the perfect introduction to the Land of Fire and Ice.
The remainder of the day is at leisure to begin exploring this charming city at your own pace. You may wish to stroll through its colorful streets, admire its distinctive architecture, browse local boutiques, or relax in one of its cozy cafés. Reykjavik’s compact center makes it easy to discover many of its highlights on foot while soaking in the welcoming Icelandic atmosphere.
At the end of the day, we will prepare for the unforgettable adventures that await us across Iceland’s spectacular landscapes.
Greca Tip: Take a walk along Reykjavik’s waterfront to admire the striking Sun Voyager sculpture and enjoy views of Mount Esja across the bay, especially beautiful at sunset.

After enjoying breakfast, we will begin our Icelandic adventure with a visit to the Northern Lights Center, where we will learn about one of nature’s most fascinating phenomena and gain insight into the science and legends surrounding the Aurora Borealis.
We will then set out along Iceland’s famous Golden Circle, discovering some of the country’s most iconic natural wonders. Our journey includes the magnificent Gullfoss Waterfall, where glacial waters plunge dramatically into a rugged canyon, and the renowned Strokkur Geyser, which erupts regularly, sending powerful jets of hot water high into the air.
Next, we will visit Thingvellir National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site of exceptional historical and geological importance. Here, we can witness the meeting point of the North American and Eurasian tectonic plates while exploring the birthplace of Iceland’s ancient parliament.
In the afternoon, we will enjoy a relaxing visit to the Secret Lagoon, a natural geothermal spring surrounded by Iceland’s beautiful countryside. Taking a warm bath in these mineral-rich waters is a truly memorable experience and a perfect way to unwind after a day of exploration.
Later, we will continue to Selfoss, where we will enjoy dinner and settle in for the evening. At the end of the day, we will return to the hotel to rest and prepare for the next chapter of our Icelandic journey.
Greca Tip: The Secret Lagoon is Iceland’s oldest natural swimming pool. Surrounded by steaming geothermal features, it offers a more authentic and tranquil experience than many of the country’s larger spa complexes.

After enjoying breakfast, we will continue along Iceland’s spectacular South Coast, a region renowned for its dramatic landscapes and natural wonders. Our first highlight of the day will be the majestic Skógafoss Waterfall, one of Iceland’s most iconic cascades, where glacial waters plunge nearly 60 meters into a mist-filled basin below.
We will then travel to Reynisfjara, Iceland’s world-famous black sand beach. Framed by powerful Atlantic waves, basalt sea stacks, and towering cliffs, this extraordinary coastline is especially striking during winter, when the contrast between the dark volcanic sands and the surrounding snow creates an unforgettable landscape.
Later, we will arrive in Kirkjubæjarklaustur, a peaceful village surrounded by lava fields, glaciers, and volcanic scenery. After checking in at the hotel, we will have time to relax before enjoying an included dinner at the hotel.
As darkness falls, we will venture just a short distance from the hotel in search of the magical Northern Lights. Far from urban light pollution, this area offers excellent conditions for aurora viewing. While sightings can never be guaranteed, our experienced guide will accompany us and share fascinating insights about this remarkable natural phenomenon, making the evening enjoyable regardless of the weather conditions.
At the end of the day, we will return to the hotel to rest and prepare for another day of discovery in Iceland.
Greca Tip: Reynisfjara’s basalt columns were formed by ancient volcanic activity and resemble a giant natural staircase. According to Icelandic folklore, the offshore sea stacks were once trolls turned to stone by the rising sun.

After enjoying breakfast, we will continue our journey through the spectacular landscapes of southeastern Iceland, beginning with a visit to Skaftafell National Park, one of the country's most remarkable natural treasures. Nestled within the vast Vatnajökull region, the park is renowned for its dramatic scenery, where glaciers, volcanic formations, and rugged mountains create an unforgettable setting. We will also admire the impressive Skaftafellsjökull Glacier, an outlet glacier extending from Europe’s largest ice cap.
A winter visit to Skaftafell is particularly magical. Despite being surrounded by glaciers, the area receives relatively little snowfall thanks to the influence of warm southern winds, creating a unique landscape of ice, rock, and contrasting colors.
Later, we will travel to the breathtaking Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon, one of Iceland’s most iconic natural wonders. Here, enormous icebergs break away from the glacier and drift serenely across the lagoon, creating a constantly changing spectacle of light, ice, and reflection that captivates visitors from around the world.
In the evening, we will enjoy an included dinner at the hotel. Weather permitting, we will then have another opportunity to search for the magical Northern Lights directly from the hotel surroundings, accompanied by our experienced tour guide, who will help us identify the best viewing conditions.
At the end of the day, we will return to the hotel to rest and reflect on another unforgettable day exploring Iceland’s extraordinary natural landscapes.
Greca Tip: Jökulsárlón is often called the “Crown Jewel of Iceland.” The lagoon’s floating icebergs vary in color from brilliant white to deep blue, depending on their age and density, creating one of the most photogenic landscapes in the country.

After enjoying breakfast, we will begin our journey back to Reykjavik, traveling through some of Iceland’s most captivating landscapes. Along the route, we will make several scenic stops to admire and photograph the dramatic countryside, offering one last opportunity to appreciate the country’s unique natural beauty.
Our first stop will be the charming town of Hveragerði, one of Iceland’s most active geothermal areas. Known for the steam rising from the ground and its abundance of hot springs, this fascinating community perfectly illustrates the powerful geological forces that continue to shape the island.
We will then continue to Strandarkirkja, affectionately known by locals as the “Miracle Church.” Set against a beautiful coastal backdrop, this historic church has long been associated with Icelandic folklore and stories of hope, protection, and gratitude from generations of seafarers.
Upon arrival in Reykjavik, we will enjoy free time to explore the city at our own pace. You may wish to browse local boutiques, visit a museum, relax in a cozy café, or simply enjoy the lively atmosphere of Iceland’s capital.
For those seeking additional relaxation, an optional visit to the world-famous Blue Lagoon is available. This experience includes round-trip transportation and standard admission to Iceland’s most iconic geothermal spa, where mineral-rich waters provide a truly rejuvenating experience.
At the end of the day, we will return to the hotel to rest and enjoy our final evening in Iceland.
Greca Tip: Hveragerði is often called the “hot spring town” of Iceland. Some local greenhouses are heated entirely by geothermal energy, allowing fresh vegetables and flowers to flourish year-round despite the northern climate.

After enjoying breakfast, you will have some free time to enjoy your final moments in Reykjavik. Depending on your flight schedule, you may wish to take a last stroll through the city center, purchase some souvenirs, or simply soak in the unique atmosphere of Iceland’s vibrant capital.
At the scheduled time, you will be transferred to Keflavík International Airport by shuttle bus, according to your flight departure time. As your Icelandic adventure comes to an end, you will depart with unforgettable memories of volcanic landscapes, glaciers, geothermal wonders, and, if fortune smiled upon you, the magical Northern Lights.
Greca Tip: Icelandic specialties such as volcanic salt, locally crafted wool products, and traditional chocolate make excellent souvenirs to remember your journey through the Land of Fire and Ice.
