At the appointed time we will take the second-class train to Naples, the capital of the Italian Campania region.
Transfer on our own to the hotel.
Naples, or Napoli for Italians, is a major port city in the south of Italy in the Campania region. With 4.4 million inhabitants ('Neapolitans'), it is the third largest city in Italy. The chaotic city has everything for an inspiring city trip because of the rich history, the Italian cuisine, and especially in the field of art and culture, the city has a lot to offer.
Greca Tip: The old Port'Alba pizzeria ('white door'), in the city of Naples, is considered the first pizzeria in the world. In 1738 they began to produce pizzas for passers-by and in 1830 they expanded into a kind of pizzeria-restaurant with tables and waiters. Today they serve pizza under the same premises.

After enjoying our breakfast, we will head to the meeting point to begin a fascinating walking experience through the historic heart of Naples. Throughout the morning, we will explore the city’s oldest and most authentic streets, where every corner reveals centuries of history, traditions, and everyday Neapolitan life.
We will begin by admiring the unique façade of the Church of Gesù Nuovo and strolling through the elegant Piazza del Gesù and the historic Piazza San Domenico Maggiore. We will then continue along the famous Spaccanapoli, the avenue that divides the historic center and is lined with Renaissance and Baroque palaces, traditional cafés, and renowned pizzerias. We will also visit the charming San Gregorio Armeno Market, world-famous for its artisan workshops dedicated to handcrafted nativity scenes.
The experience will continue underground at the impressive Neapolis Underground Ruins, where we will discover ancient Roman streets, remnants of marketplaces, mosaics, and early Christian crypts that reveal how the city grew layer upon layer over the centuries.
Back above ground, we will explore the monumental district and admire the exterior of Castel Nuovo, the Royal Palace, the Teatro di San Carlo, the elegant Galleria Umberto I, lively Via Toledo, and the majestic Piazza del Plebiscito. The tour will conclude around midday, leaving free time for lunch and the opportunity to continue exploring the city at our own pace.
For those wishing to continue discovering the region, an optional afternoon excursion to the archaeological site of Pompeii is available, offering the opportunity to explore one of the world's most remarkable ancient Roman cities, preserved beneath volcanic ash since the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in 79 AD.
At the end of the day, we will return to the hotel to rest.
Greca Tip: Do not leave Naples without trying an authentic wood-fired Neapolitan pizza. The city is considered the birthplace of this iconic dish, recognized by UNESCO as part of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.

After enjoying our breakfast, we will leave behind the vibrant city of Naples and travel toward the stunning Sorrentine Peninsula. Along the way, we will admire beautiful Mediterranean landscapes where hills covered with lemon groves meet the crystal-clear waters of the Gulf of Naples.
Upon arrival in Sorrento, one of Southern Italy’s most elegant destinations, we will have time to begin exploring its charming historic center, filled with picturesque streets, artisan boutiques, and welcoming piazzas that embody the authentic Italian lifestyle. From its scenic terraces and viewpoints, we can enjoy breathtaking views of the sea and the majestic Mount Vesuvius in the distance.
The remainder of the day will be at leisure to explore the town at our own pace, sample regional specialties, or simply relax while soaking in the Mediterranean atmosphere that makes Sorrento so special.
Greca Tip: Sorrento is renowned for its lemons and the production of traditional limoncello. Take the opportunity to sample this iconic local liqueur made from fruit grown throughout the region.

At the scheduled time, we will meet at the port of Sorrento, where an unforgettable excursion to one of the Mediterranean’s most iconic destinations will begin. From there, we will board a ferry bound for the captivating island of Capri, renowned for its natural beauty and refined atmosphere.
Upon arrival, we will set out on a boat ride to the famous Blue Grotto, a natural wonder where sunlight filters through an underwater opening, bathing the cave in an intense, shimmering blue glow. During the navigation, we will enjoy magnificent views of the Bay of Naples, a setting that blends sea, history, and scenery.
We will then continue to the Gardens of Augustus, an elegant terraced garden offering exceptional panoramic views of the Faraglioni rock formations and the bay of Marina Piccola—an ideal spot for a leisurely stroll and memorable photographs.
After the visit, you will have free time for lunch (not included), to explore Capri at your own pace, or to enjoy some shopping. In the afternoon, we will return to Marina Grande to board the ferry back, concluding the excursion at the port of Sorrento.
Greca Tip: Capri is especially enchanting in the late afternoon, when the light softens the sea’s colors and the crowds begin to fade.

After breakfast, our transfer will take us to the train station in Naples to embark for Rome.
We hope you have spent beautiful days with Greca and we hope to see you soon
