Rome, Sorrento, Pompeii and Capri in 5 days

Upon our arrival at the eternal city, one of our vehicles will be waiting for us at the airport to receive us and transfer us comfortably and quickly to the hotel.

On the way we will appreciate why the Italian capital is considered the maximum expression of the Western world's historical, artistic, and cultural wealth, which is why since 1980 it has been included on the UNESCO World Heritage list.

The rest of the day will be to relax and enjoy Rome at our own pace.

After enjoying our breakfast and bidding farewell to the Eternal City, we will begin a fascinating journey through southern Italy, where history and Mediterranean landscapes will accompany us every step of the way. Very early in the morning, around 6:30 a.m., we will pick you up directly from your hotel and comfortably transfer you to the bus departure point. At 7:30 a.m., we will leave Rome behind, traveling through charming Italian scenery and making a short stop before arriving at one of the most extraordinary archaeological sites in the world.

Upon arrival in Pompeii, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, we will enjoy a complete guided tour led by an authorized expert guide. For approximately two and a half hours, we will walk through ancient Roman streets, discover remarkably preserved homes, temples, and bakeries, while admiring mosaics and frescoes that have withstood the passage of centuries. We will also learn how the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in 79 A.D. buried the city beneath volcanic ash, preserving an extraordinary snapshot of daily life in Ancient Rome.

After the visit, we will continue our journey toward the charming town of Sorrento, surrounded by breathtaking views over the Tyrrhenian Sea and the unmistakable beauty of the Mediterranean coast. Upon arrival, we will have time to relax and soak in the elegant seaside atmosphere of this delightful Italian destination. In the evening, we will enjoy a delicious dinner at the hotel before settling in for a well-deserved rest in Sorrento.

Greca Tip: While in Sorrento, do not miss the opportunity to taste authentic handmade limoncello, crafted with the region’s famous lemons and considered one of the most traditional flavors of the Amalfi Coast.

This morning, after a delightful breakfast at the hotel, the sea welcomes you to one of the most enchanting destinations in the Mediterranean: the legendary island of Capri. Depending on the weather, you may embark on a boat ride to the famous Blue Grotto, where sunlight enters a sea cave and reflects through the water, bathing the space in an ethereal glow like the island holds a secret underwater galaxy.

In the morning, the journey continues to the Gardens of Augustus, a beautifully terraced viewpoint with breathtaking vistas of the Faraglioni rocks and Marina Piccola. Every photo here feels like a postcard, every step a gentle sigh.

Around midday, you’ll have free time to enjoy lunch at your leisure. In the afternoon, take time to explore Capri on your own or indulge in its elegant boutiques. By evening, return to the mainland for a delicious dinner and overnight stay in Sorrento.

Please note that during high season, visiting the Blue Grotto in Capri may involve long waiting times or, due to its limited capacity, the impossibility of entering. In the event that access is not possible, or weather conditions do not permit it, our guides will suggest alternative attractions to ensure a satisfying and memorable experience (such as the Faraglioni rock formations).

From November to March, the itinerary is adapted to include free time in Sorrento for shopping or optional activities.

Greca Tip: If you wish to visit the Blue Grotto, expect possible queues and wear comfortable shoes for boarding with ease.

After enjoying our breakfast, we will have free time to make the most of our final moments in the charming town of Sorrento, enjoying its elegant narrow streets, panoramic sea views, and the authentic Mediterranean atmosphere that defines this jewel of southern Italy. It will be the perfect opportunity to take a leisurely stroll, enjoy an Italian coffee by the sea, or shop for traditional local products from the region.

Around 1:30 p.m., at a time to be reconfirmed by the local staff, we will transfer to Pompeii to begin our return journey to Rome by bus. During the trip, we will continue admiring the beautiful Italian landscapes that accompany the route between the coastline and the capital city.

We will arrive in Rome in the late afternoon, approximately around 6:00 p.m., with enough time to continue enjoying the magic of the Eternal City, its illuminated historic squares, and its unmatched evening atmosphere.

Greca Tip: Before leaving Sorrento, take the opportunity to try an authentic sfogliatella pastry or purchase local lemon-based products, one of the region’s most iconic gastronomic symbols.

After enjoying your breakfast, and at the time indicated, you will be transferred to Rome Airport to board your flight back home or to your next destination.
