Package Tour Itinerary: Cairenes & Mount Sinai

After your arrival to Cairo, Capital of the Arab Republic of Egypt, a person from our professional team will be wating for you, to assist you with the Visa Process, give you every detail of your trip and clear any doubts or request you had, as well give you a brief presentation of the city and its day to day.

After a tasty and abundant breakfast (with typical products), you will begin the visit to the most important points of interest of the largest metropolis on the African continent.
The visit, as your official English-speaking guide will explain in detail throughout the tour, start with the famous Egyptian pyramids in Giza. Here you will find the only one of the seven wonders of the ancient world: The Great Pyramid of Cheops. This funerary complex presided over by the head of King Khafre with the body of a lion can be seen both from the main access esplanade and up close. Here you will have some free time to enter to the pyramids on your own.
Later, you will have a delicious lunch and and start the excursion to the Saqqara Necropolis, a World Heritage Site where the funerary complex of King Djoser stands out, a city built exclusively for the life of the King in the afterlife, and its stepped pyramid, the first structure of stone built in a pyramidal shape and that symbolizes the beginning of this type of construction in what we know today as Egypt.

You will start the day with a delicious breakfast in the hotel dining room and then you will start the full day tour to Cairo where you will visit the most important places of this historic city, starting with the Museum of Art Pharaonic, in the heart of the city where countless artifacts of incalculable value stand out, such as Tutankhamun's treasure, sarcophagi, mummies and sculptures of unimaginable beauty.
Next you will go to historic Cairo, declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO and which, since the 10th century, was the area of the Caliphs and their mosques. The Citadel of Saladin stands out, later fortified to defend it from the Crusaders almost a millennium ago.
Afterwards, you will visit the Jan El Jalili bazaar, where you will have free time to test your negotiating skills.
Before returning to the hotel, you will personally visit the Coptic neighborhood, with its melting pot of religions and in which the Hanging Church built on the Babylon Fortress stands out, the church of San Sergio where it is believed that the Holy Family took refuge in Egypt when fleeing of Herod and the synagogue of Ben Ezra, one of the oldest in the country.
At night also optionally, you can enjoy a Buffet dinner with a show in a floating restaurant on the Nile River.

Early in the morning and after a delicious breakfast at the hotel, you will stat the route to the Suez Canal. This monumental work of artificial navigation joins the Mediterranean Sea with the Red Sea and represents the limit between Africa and Asia.
You will pass under the canal, crossing the Ahmed Hamdi tunnel and the famous Mitla pass. On the way you will visit Ayun Musa or the Bath of Moses and then continue to the city of Sanit Catherine where you will have dinner and stay.

At dawn, you will go to the Mount of Moses or Mount Sinai (Mount Horeb) 2285m high, where the prophet Moses received from God the tables of the law while the Hebrew people camped at the foot of the mountain, from the top of the mount you can see the sunrise and Mount Santa Catalina the highest peak of the peninsula 2637m.
Going down the mountain you could visit the Monastery of Santa Catalina located at 1570m high with its impressive walls built between 527 and 565 by order of Emperor Justinian in the biblical place of the burning bush. The monastery owes its name to Saint Catherine, an Alexandrian martyr who died in the year 395, whose body transported by angels would be discovered 5 centuries later on the top of the mountain that bears her name.
The monastery is the smallest diocese in the world and the monastery in oldest asset its library has the oldest manuscripts in the world after the vatican.
Return to the hotel. Breakfast and at the scheduled time departure to the border point where you will leave Egypt.
