Upon arrival at the Ljubljana airport, the capital of Slovenia, a person from our staff will be waiting to transfer you to the hotel in one of our private vehicles.
The rest of the day will be to relax and enjoy Ljubljana at our own pace.
Ljubljana is a charming and picturesque city located in the central part of Slovenia, and is the political, cultural and economic center of the country. The city is known for its rich history, beautiful architecture, and vibrant atmosphere.
Greca Tip: Ljubljana is known for being a green and sustainable city. In fact, it is one of the greenest cities in Europe in relation to its size. The city center is closed to traffic, which means that much of the area is pedestrianized.

After a tasty breakfast, we will have a free day to visit the most important places in Ljubljana. Among them is the open-air market located in Vodnik Square. There we can buy local products if we feel like it.
We will also be able to see the bridges designed by the famous architect Joze Plečnik, who also designed the market building and the town hall with its subsequent renovations.
In addition, we will be able to observe another imposing attraction, the Robba fountain, in front of the town hall. This fountain is a replica of the original completed in 1751, which is in the National Gallery of Slovenia.
This city is full of charm dominated by its medieval castle and full of beautiful buildings, bridges, and dragons that we will hardly forget.
Greca Tip: The best views of the city will be obtained by climbing the hill of the castle of Ljubljana.

After a tasty breakfast at your hotel, you will have the day off to continue exploring Ljubljana and its surroundings at your own pace.
Optionally, you will have the possibility of taking an excursion to Bled, a beautiful little town located in the Julian Alps, just 45 minutes from Ljubljana. You will visit its castle from which we can enjoy fantastic views and then go down to Lake Bled (a glacial lake at 475 meters above sea level that changes color from green to blue depending on the weather).
There, we'll get on a boat (pletna) with which we will sail to its small island (the only natural island in all of Slovenia). On this island is the Church of Santa María, in whose bell tower is the bell that is said to bring good luck to those who ring it.
After the visit, you will have time for lunch and at the end, you will return to Ljubljana to stay.
Greca Tip: A typical dessert to try in Ljubljana is "premurska gibanica", among its ingredients it has cheese, poppy seeds, walnuts, apple, and cinnamon.

You will have breakfast at the hotel and have some free time, and at the agreed time you will be transferred to the Ljubljana airport.
After spending some fantastic days with Greca, we hope to see you again to enjoy some wonderful moments that will remain forever in your memory.
Bon voyage! Or, as locals say, "Dobro putovanje!"
Greca Tip: Slovenian schnapps make a great souvenir. There are many varieties, including blueberry (borovnica) or pear (viljamovka).
