Package Tour Itinerary: Greece, Turkey & Egypt Wonderful

Upon your arrival in the mythical city of Athens, you will be greeted with a seamless transfer to your hotel in one of our vehicles, where your professional and friendly English-speaking driver will ensure your comfort and convenience throughout the journey.
Later in the afternoon, at an agreed time, our representative will meet you at the hotel to provide all the essential details of your trip. They will also offer a captivating presentation of the city, sharing insights into its everyday way of life. This is an excellent opportunity for you to ask any questions and have any doubts dispelled, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable experience throughout the rest of your trip.
You will have the remainder of the day free to relax and explore Athens at your own pace, taking in the sights, sounds, and flavors of this remarkable city.
Greca Tip: Extend your stay by adding more nights during Step 1 of 3 of your booking!

Today you will head towards the Corinth Canal, where you will stop briefly to take some photos and marvel at this famous channel that connects the Aegean Sea with the Gulf of Corinth. With this impressive engineering feat, ships do not have to circumnavigate the Peloponnese peninsula for more than 400 km in order to reach the Ionian Sea.
You will continue your journey until you reach the Theater of Epidaurus, worldwide famous for its acoustics and still in use today for a number of performances, especially in the summer. You will also spend time at the museum of Asclepius, father of modern medicine, and then travel to the city of Mycenae, where you will visit the prehistoric Acropolis, the Lions Gate and the tomb of "Agamemnon". In the afternoon you will travel across central Peloponnese and arrive in the city of Olympia in the early evening, where you will check in at your hotel, have dinner and rest.
Greca Tip: Stroll through the Old Town of Nafplio, its narrow cobblestoned alleys with the Bougainvillea trees adorning yards and balconies and choose “komboloyia” (a circular chain with beads made of amber) as a nice gift to yourself or friends.

In the morning you will visit the site of the ancient Olympic stadium, where the first games were held at around 776 BC. The importance of these games was widely accepted, given the extensive participation of the Greek cities, which suspended hostilities throughout the celebrations. The Olympiad was recognized as the only chronological event all over Greece and, basically, represented the period of four years between two consecutive events.
Olympia was also the most important sanctuary of Ancient Greece, a place to worship Zeus, the first among the gods. The gigantic gold and ivory sculpture crafted by Phidias was considered one of the seven wonders of the ancient world.
After your visit to the Museum of Olympia, you will continue your journey, across the suspension bridge of Rio - Antirion, a modern engineering wonder, until you reach your destination.
Upon your arrival at Delphi you will have dinner and a well-deserved rest.
Greca Tip: In the evening you can go in search of the traditional character of nearby Arachova and enjoy a drink in a stylish café or a local kafeneio (coffee shop).

In the morning, and after your breakfast, you will visit the archaeological site of Delphi, a UNESCO World Heritage site and the center or 'navel' of the ancient world. It was here where the renowned Oracle of Delphi, a counsellor of kings and pilgrims, was to be found. Make sure you visit the Museum, which houses the "Bronze Charioteer", a masterpiece of Greek sculpture.
At the end of your Delphi tour, you will descend the slopes of Mount Parnassus and head towards the plains of Thessaly, where the city of Kalambaka is located.
You will arrive in the town of Kalambaka, have dinner and enjoy a good rest.
Greca Tip: You may also use your free time to visit the Temple of Athena Pronaia at Delphi.

Early in the morning you will visit Meteora, declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1988. In this mysterious landscape, the natural beauty is combined with the compelling presence of the eternal monasteries suspended or "meteora" on top of the huge rocks. Currently there are only six in use, five for the male and one for the female monastic community.
On the way back to Athens, you will briefly stop at Thermopylae, where you can see the statue of the Spartan King Leonidas, famous for leading the battle against the Persians in 480 BC. In the late afternoon you will arrive in Athens, where we will drop you off at your hotel.
Dress code to the Monasteries: Sleeveless clothing and shorts above the knee are not allowed. Skirts, shawls and trousers are available at the entrance of the Monasteries in case visitors do not have such clothing to cover themselves with.
Greca Tip: Take a stroll in Kalambaka's old town and look for handmade wood carved objects and religious icons as well as home-made sausages, honey, fruit sweets and jams, and the regional pudding (“spatoula”) or “halva” for a sweet aftertaste.

After your breakfast and at the agreed time, you will commence the panoramic tour of the Athenian Neoclassical Center: the Parliament, the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, the University, the Library, and National Academy, the Ilion Palace, the Temple of Zeus and Hadrian's Gate, the Panathenaic Stadium, and many other monuments and sites of great interest. You will learn all there is to know about their history and background from the licensed English-speaking Tour Guide accompanying you on this tour.
Your next stop will be the "sacred rock", the spectacular, unique and magnificent Acropolis and the Acropolis Museum. The entrance fee to both sites is included. At the end of the visit, you can either choose to return to your hotel or set out on your own adventure through the charming and picturesque streets of Plaka.
In the evening, we have included a guided walking tour that will take you through the prettiest districts of the capital, such as Anafiotika, Thissio, Monastiraki, and Plaka.
Greca Tip: In Plaka look for something alluring, like ceramics, musical instruments, handmade jewelry to specialty food shops stacked high with olives and spices.

Early in the morning, you will be transferred to the port to commence the full day Cruise to 3 of the most beautiful islands of the Saronic Gulf. Aegina is famous for its variety of pistachios, Poros for its scenic beauty and Hydra, the greenest of these islands, for its elegant stone mansions, serene atmosphere and vehicle free roads. While on board the cruise ship, you will also enjoy lunch in the accompaniment of traditional Greek music and dance.
At the end of the day you will be comfortably transferred back to your hotel.
Greca Tip: You can look for Aegina's famous pistachio nuts, Poros's high-quality honey and Hydra's almond sweets, amygdalota.

After you've fueled up with breakfast, we'll swing by your hotel or the nearest meeting spot to kick off a full-day adventure exploring Istanbul, an incredible city.

Once the tour concludes, you're welcome to soak up the enchanting ambiance of the old city a little longer, savoring every moment. When you're ready, you can make your own way back to your hotel.
Greca Tip: For a jaw-dropping panoramic view of Istanbul, make sure to visit Camilca Hill on the Asian side. Feast your eyes on the sprawling cityscape, the Golden Horn, and the mesmerizing Bosphorus. It's a sight you won't want to miss!

Greca Tip: Consult with your guide about joining in a hot-air balloon the next day of your arrival to Cappadocia and gently drift over the magnificent valleys of the city.

After enjoying a satisfying breakfast, your entire day will be devoted to exploring Cappadocia.
Your journey will commence at the Göreme Valley, home to an open-air museum filled with churches, chapels, and monasteries adorned with ancient frescoes on their walls. Next, you'll proceed to the town of Avanos, renowned for its longstanding pottery-making tradition, which can be traced back to the Hittite period.
Here, you'll be captivated by the utilization of red clay sourced from Kizilirmak, Turkey's longest river, and have the opportunity to savor delightful Turkish tea.
Later on, you'll traverse the Pasabag Valley, also known as the "Valley of the Monks," due to the numerous monk refuges carved into the soft rock. Prepare to be amazed by the breathtaking cone-topped rock pillars called Fairy Chimneys.
The tour will then take you through the Devrent Valley, often referred to as the "Imaginary Valley," where you'll encounter a multitude of unique rock formations, some of which resemble animals.
Additionally, you'll visit the Göreme Panorama, a panoramic viewpoint offering fantastic vistas of Göreme city.

These remarkable temples form part of the Nubia and Aswan Open-Air Museum and have been meticulously relocated piece by piece due to the rising waters of the Nile River caused by the construction of the Aswan Dam. Like the temples of Abu Simbel and other sites across Egypt, the Philae temple complex had to be relocated from its original location to protect it from the Nile's rising waters.
After a day filled with exploration, return to the motor ship and enjoy a restful overnight stay onboard in Aswan.
