Larnaca, besides having the second most important port in Cyprus, is a quite touristy city that offers us good restaurants and a beautiful urban beach.
In this city, we can contemplate ancient treasures and admire the ingenuity of the Ottoman Empire. The historic center of the city will allow us to discover ancient gems, such as Larnaca Fort.
Its museum explains the function that the castle used to have as an execution site, and we will also find Lazarus Church, a 9th-century spiritual center that is said to be the tomb of a biblical character.
Greca Tip: Cyprus is known as the island of cats. Legend has it that Saint Helena of Constantinople, Empress of the Roman Empire, sent ships filled with cats to the Mediterranean island to combat the snakes that were overpopulating the region at that time.

After breakfast, we will have a day free to explore this city.
Larnaca is considered the oldest city in Cyprus and also one of the most hospitable. It couldn't be otherwise, as the island's international airport is located here.
What's the secret of this seaside resort? It's the beauty of the sunny coast, the hospitality and openness of the residents, it's the unique blend of antiquity and modernity. Larnaca is a city where traditions are sacred.
It's a relatively small tourist city with a bustling life around the tourist spots. Undoubtedly, the most popular area among visitors is the Phinikoudes Promenade, with its adjacent beach, wooden pier, beautiful harbor, and a wide range of hotels, bars, and restaurants.
The promenade starts at Vasileos Pavlou Square and leads to Larnaca Castle, a medieval fortress built to defend the southern coast of Cyprus. The fort now houses a historical museum.
Greca Tip: Don't miss the chance to have a coffee by the sea, admiring the wonderful views that the city offers us.

After our delicious breakfast, we will have another free day to keep exploring Larnaca.
Depending on the day of the week, you can add one of the optional excursions we offer you on step 1/3 so you can make the most out of Cyprus while you are there.
Get lost in all the alleys, take a tour to Nicosia or Paphos, and remember to taste every dish the local cuisine offers!
Greca Tip: You can ask your hotel's concierge about car rentals so you can explore everything at your own pace. Remember that Cyprus is a country with very short distances between major cities!

After breakfast, we will continue exploring the island at our own pace.
The white sandy beach stretches at the foot of the Piale Pasha promenade, which extends from the castle to the famous Mackenzie Beach.
Picturesque fishermen's houses with white walls and bright shutters line the promenade. New hotels, cozy cafes, and restaurants have been built right on the beach.
In the area, we can visit the Hala Sultan Tekke mosque and the medieval Kamares aqueduct.
The Old Town is located 8 kilometers south of the main tourist areas. Its narrow streets preserve the ancient stonework. Here, you'll find many traditional houses and small courtyards, and you'll often come across small craft shops.
Greca Tip: Remember trying the famous Cypriot dish known as "Prasorizo". It's a kind of leek risotto.

After breakfast and at the specified time, one of our vehicles will take us to Larnaca Airport to board our flight to Greece.
