10-day tour from London to Zurich

Upon arrival at Rome International Airport, a driver will be waiting to transfer you to your hotel. Later, our guide will greet you and provide all the necessary information.

At the end of the evening, you will be able to get a transfer to the Via Cavour area, a great introduction to Rome, where you will find restaurants serving Italian, Indian, Chinese, and interna­tional food.

Rome is known for its iconic landmarks, including the Colosseum, the Roman Forum, the Pantheon, and the Roman Forum, which are all remnants of the ancient Roman Empire. The Vatican City, an independent city-state within Rome, is home to St. Peter's Basilica and the Vatican Museums, which contain some of the world's most famous works of art, including the Sistine Chapel ceiling painted by Michelangelo.

Greca Tip: Rome is the center of the Roman Catholic Church, and it is where the Pope resides. St. Peter's Basilica, located in Vatican City, is a major pilgrimage site for Catholics from around the world.

After enjoying a delicious breakfast at the hotel, we will begin a fascinating panoramic tour of Rome, one of the most iconic cities in the world. Over the course of approximately three hours, we will combine a bus tour with a pleasant walking tour through Imperial Rome. We will have the opportunity to admire historic landmarks such as the Arch of Constantine, the impressive exterior of the Colosseum, and the majestic Imperial Forums—eternal symbols of the grandeur of Ancient Rome.

While on board the bus, we will also pass by other iconic sites such as the Circus Maximus, the ancient Baths of Caracalla, the elegant Basilica of Saint Mary Major, the mysterious Pyramid of Cestius, and the imposing Castel Sant'Angelo, located on the banks of the Tiber River.

We will conclude our tour in Vatican City around 11:00 a.m. After the visit, our guide will offer you the opportunity to join an optional excursion to explore the artistic treasures of the Vatican Museums and marvel at the magnificent Sistine Chapel, Michelangelo’s masterpiece.

In the late afternoon, we will include a transfer to the charming Trastevere neighborhood, known for its lively atmosphere, narrow cobblestone streets, and traditional restaurants where you can enjoy authentic Roman cuisine. Return to the hotel is scheduled for approximately 8:30 p.m.

Greca Tip: While strolling through Trastevere, be sure to try a supplì—a fried rice croquette filled with melted cheese. This typical Roman treat is perfect for savoring as you explore the vibrant streets of the neighborhood.

Once breakfast is behind us, we leave Rome and head north across the Apennines, where olive groves, cypress trees and hilltop villages announce the arrival of Tuscany. Our destination is Florence, the city where the Renaissance reshaped European art, science and power. We begin at Piazzale Michelangelo, a terrace above the Arno that reveals the whole city at once: the great dome of the Duomo, the tower of Palazzo Vecchio and the river bending beneath its old bridges. Lunch is at leisure, so you may choose a trattoria at your own pace.

In the afternoon, a guided tour through the historic center brings us to Ponte Vecchio, the medieval bridge still lined with goldsmiths' shops, then to the Duomo and Piazza della Signoria, the political heart of the Florentine Republic. Florence is compact and best understood on foot, an open-air museum where every street holds a story. With free time afterwards, you may return to the corner that most caught your attention, while the golden evening light on the Arno brings the day to a gentle close.

Greca Tip: Brunelleschi's dome, completed in 1436, was built without a wooden framework and is still studied by engineers today.

Breakfast will set the tone for a scenic journey across the Apennines, where winding roads reveal beautiful mountain landscapes on our way toward Venice. Upon arrival, we’ll board a boat across the Giudecca Canal, an experience that offers a first glimpse of the city’s unique relationship with the water.

In the historic heart of Venice, a local guide will lead us through St. Mark’s Square, one of Europe’s most celebrated urban spaces and the symbolic center of the city, surrounded by remarkable architecture and centuries of history. We’ll then visit a Murano Glass Factory, where we’ll discover the traditional techniques behind this renowned Venetian craft, passed down through generations.

Later, we’ll have some free time to explore Venice at our own pace, perhaps wandering through its picturesque streets and canals. We’ll finish the day in the Mestre district, just outside the historic center.

Breakfast will mark the beginning of our journey from Venice toward Austria, leaving behind the canals and historic streets of the lagoon city as we make our way through the Alps.

Upon arriving in Innsbruck, capital of Tyrol, we’ll have free time to explore its charming historic center and enjoy lunch. We may stroll along Maria-Theresien-Straße, admire the famous Golden Roof in the heart of the Old Town, and pass by the Imperial Palace and St. James’ Cathedral, discovering the distinctive blend of imperial history and Alpine traditions that defines the city. We’ll then continue our journey through the spectacular Tyrolean landscapes, with mountains accompanying us as we cross the border into Switzerland.

Our day will conclude in Zurich, Switzerland’s largest city and an important cultural and economic center, where we’ll settle in and enjoy the atmosphere of this elegant lakeside destination.

Greca Tip: If time allows, take a moment in Innsbruck’s Old Town to look up at the colorful historic façades and the surrounding peaks — it is one of the city’s most distinctive views.

After enjoying a delicious breakfast, we will embark on a day filled with awe-inspiring landscapes, as we venture into the heart of the Swiss Alps.

Our first destination is Grindelwald, nestled in the Interlaken region, where we’ll pause for a coffee before ascending the mountains by cable car. At the summit, we’ll walk along a winding path leading to a suspension bridge—perfect for adventurous travelers eager to take in extraordinary glacier views. We will have lunch on the mountain (included) before beginning our descent.

In the afternoon, we’ll head to Lucerne, one of Switzerland’s most picturesque cities. You’ll have free time to wander through its beautiful historic center, admire the famous wooden Chapel Bridge, and soak in the charm of this lakeside gem. We will then return to Zurich in the evening.

Our guide will offer an optional full-day excursion that includes a visit to Mount Titlis. After some leisure time in Lucerne, we’ll ascend by rotating cable car to the summit, where, at over 3,000 meters above sea level, you can enjoy panoramic views of the glacier and the surrounding Alpine peaks.

Greca Tip: In Lucerne, treat yourself to a slice of Luzerner Chügelipastete, a flaky pastry filled with veal and mushrooms in a creamy sauce—a local favorite.

After breakfast, we'll depart from Zurich and travel toward the French region of Alsace, where we'll visit its charming capital, Strasbourg. Set along the Rhine, the city reflects a fascinating blend of French and German heritage, visible in its architecture, traditions, and historic character. We'll have free time to explore its picturesque streets and discover the unique atmosphere of this European crossroads at our own pace.

Later, we'll continue our journey to Paris, arriving in the evening and bringing our day from the Alpine landscapes of Switzerland to the vibrant heart of France to a close.

After enjoying our breakfast, we will begin a captivating day by immersing ourselves in the grandeur of Versailles, exploring its rich French history and admiring the beauty of its world-famous gardens (admission not included). As we walk through these regal landscapes, we will feel transported to an era of opulence and royal splendor.

Upon returning to Paris, we will make our way to the enchanting district of Montmartre, a bohemian haven known for its artists, painters, and lively cabarets. Its winding streets and creative atmosphere invite us to discover why this hilltop village has inspired generations of creators. Later, accompanied by a local guide, we will enjoy a panoramic city tour highlighting the elegance of Paris: its grand avenues, monumental squares, and timeless architectural icons.

At the end of the day we will return to the hotel to rest. We will then unwind in an atmosphere designed for comfort and serenity. For those who wish, an optional evening variety show will be available.

Greca Tip: For a magical Parisian moment, pause at a Montmartre café and try a classic crème brûlée while enjoying the views of the city below—an unforgettable treat in the artistic heart of Paris.

After enjoying breakfast, we head to one of the most iconic symbols of Paris and of France as a whole: the Eiffel Tower. With ticket included, we will ascend to the second floor of this striking 330-meter iron structure, from where we can admire a spectacular panoramic view of the city, with its majestic buildings, bridges and avenues.

After coming back down, we will board a cruise along the Seine, a ride of approximately one hour and fifteen minutes that will let us discover the city from a different perspective. On board, we will sail past some of its most iconic landmarks, such as Notre Dame Cathedral, the Louvre Museum and the Alexandre III Bridge, among others.

After the tour, you will have free time to continue exploring Paris at your own pace. You may take the opportunity to stroll along the city's elegant boulevards, visit one of its famous museums, or simply enjoy Parisian gastronomy on a terrace with unforgettable views.

On occasion, due to high demand, access to the Eiffel Tower may involve long waits. For organizational reasons, this visit may take place at another time of day or even be rescheduled.

Greca Tip: For a special corner of Paris, head to the charming Tuileries Garden, located between the Louvre and Place de la Concorde. It's an ideal spot to relax and take in the Parisian atmosphere with incomparable views.

In the morning, you will enjoy a tasty breakfast and then you will be transferred to Paris airport, where your tour will come to an end.
