Is the hammam mixed?
Yes, it is. But it has exclusive areas for men and women. The optional services of massages, treatments, etc. they are always provided by staff of the same sex.
Do you suggest bringing something?

Commissioned by Ms. Afife Nurbanu Sultan to raise funds for a charity, the Turkish bath or "hamami" (as locals call it) Cimberlitas was built in 1584 and is a recognizable landmark of Istanbul not only for its historical and cultural significance but also for its architecture. The main intention of the hammam was to serve Istanbulites and a great opportunity for social gatherings. It was so successful and had such a consistent influx of money that it continued operating even after people started living in apartments with bathrooms and the use of hammams became obsolete.
By booking your entrance to this hammam, you will also take part in a ritual in which the Turks participated for centuries and which still endures offering visitors a peaceful spot away from the hustle and bustle of the city.
