Seville from Malaga - Full-day

You will enjoy a panoramic visit to the city of Seville. First, you will see the Paseo de Colón, Plaza de América, the Avenida de las Palmeras, the María Luisa Park, and the Guadalquivir River.

You will take advantage of the stop at Plaza España to take some photos of this emblematic landmark in the city. This marvelous square was built to house the Spanish pavilion at the 1929 Ibero-American exhibition. Its buildings are semi-elliptical and symbolize Spain's embrace of its former American territories.

Back on the bus, you will go to the Jardines de Murillo. After the visit, you will follow the guide to the old town and you will enter the narrow and winding streets full of mystery to reach the Barrio de Santa Cruz, one of the most charming areas in the entire city.

Next, you will visit the Cathedral, the third largest in the world after Saint Peter's in Rome and Saint Paul's in London. It dates from the 15th century and stands on an old mosque from the end of the 12th century.

Later, you will have free time to have lunch on your own. After this, you will meet the guide at the famous Torre del Oro for the return to Malaga.

Although many cities dispute this title, it is said that the origin of tapas dates back to the 16th century when King Alfonso XIII, while there, asked for a sherry on a very windy day. To prevent dirt from entering his glass, the waiter improvised a 'tapa' (lid) with a slice of ham. This idea amused the monarch, who did not hesitate to ask for another sherry 'with a lid'. This is how he created this characteristic way of eating in Spanish.
