Excursion Itinerary: Historical Split On Foot

You will start the tour in the spectacular city of Split, just outside the Old Town, where your guide will introduce you and tell you about the history of Split and the most important buildings you will see.
You will continue to Diocletian's Palace and its cellars, a place built by Diocletian for his retirement, away from the bustling Rome. You will continue to the Peristil and visit the oldest cathedral in the world "St. Domnius", together with its famous baptistery.
You will also visit the temple of Jupiter and the Egyptian sphinxes. Continuing along Cardo street you will arrive at the Golden Gate, which today is, together with the nearby monument of Bishop Gregory of Nin, one of Split's favorite tourist spots.
