Enjoy a relaxing day in Windsor, travelling comfortably by train and exploring the town at your own pace. The experience begins at London Paddington Station, where you should arrive at 8:50 am to check in before the train departs at 9:21 am. Once on board, simply sit back, relax, and enjoy the journey to this charming town in the county of Berkshire.
Upon arrival, you will have free time to discover Windsor, a town rich in royal heritage, offering pleasant walks through natural scenery and a picturesque historic centre best enjoyed at a leisurely pace.
The highlight of the day is a visit to Windsor Castle, the King’s favourite weekend residence and the oldest inhabited castle in the world.
The visit is self-guided, with an audio guide included, and lasts approximately two hours. During the tour, you can admire the famous Queen Mary’s Dolls’ House, the opulent State Apartments featuring masterpieces by artists such as Rembrandt and Leonardo da Vinci, and the solemn St George’s Chapel, the final resting place of monarchs including Henry VIII, Queen Mary, and Queen Elizabeth II.
At the end of the visit, you are free to choose your return time to London, with trains operating every 20 to 30 minutes until approximately 11:00 pm.
