Excursion Itinerary: Delos From Mykonos

Your tour begins at the port of Mykonos, where you will set sail for the nearby island of Delos, declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO and also known as the sacred island and birthplace of the Greek mythological gods Artemis and Apollo.
On arrival at the island you will meet your official guide, who will explain the importance of this ancient Greek spiritual center. On this island, inhabited since 3000 a.c., many significant monuments can be found such as impressive sanctuaries, temples, residences and a theater. During this tour, you will be able to see and recognise the influence of the Roman conquest, through its Roman market and the statues of Naxos Lions (sculptures in the shape of a feline honoring God Apollo), which are widely regarded as the emblem of the island.
Αfter visiting the treasures of the island, highlights of which include "the House of the Dolphins", "The Temple of Isis", the cisterns and Roman baths, you will continue to the museum with the great collection of special mosaics and sculptures exquisite for their beauty.
You will have some free time on the island before you head back to the Port of Mykonos at approximately 13:30 hrs.
Greca Tip: Bring lots of sunscreen, water, a hat and comfortable shoes to marvel at the site's highlights as well as enjoy the spectacular views before heading back to the contemporary world.
