Today your tour will begin at around 09:00 hrs. from the meeting point (Steps of the Teatro Massimo) where, accompanied by your guide, you will admire the imposing structure of the largest Opera House in Italy and thus start an adventure tracing the wonderful architectural marvels of the city.
A little further away you will have the opportunity to enter the heart of the historic market "U Capu", where history, tradition and street food mix with the voices and faces of the people of Palermo. You will also appreciate a recently restored baroque jewel, the church of the Immaculate Conception.
As you walk through the alleys and old buildings, you will arrive at the Norman cathedral, where the remains of Frederick II of Swabia and the silver "Rod" of Saint Rosalía are located.
Continuing your way, between the gardens of Villa Bonanno and the ancient Roman ruins of Paleopoli, you will arrive at the Royal Palace or "the Palace of the Normans", which houses 3000 years of history and the splendid mosaics of the Palatine Chapel, proud witnesses of the knowledge, esoteric secrets, life and customs that the Arabs, Byzantines and Normans shared with many peoples in great tolerance.
Skirting the old fortifications, you can photograph the Church of San Giovanni degli Eremiti, an evocative piece of Arab-Norman architecture thanks to its particular domes.
You will discover medieval neighborhoods, Spanish facades and courtyards of historic houses, you will walk through the "Cassaro" to end the tour at the Quattro Canti or the Teatro del Sole, an elegant baroque structure.
