One of our transfers will pick you up at the hotel and you will begin the tour with a visit to the picturesque fishing village of Marsaxlokk.
This beautiful town is the largest fishing port in Malta and has been since ancient times, today most of the fish sold on the islands is caught by fishermen from this town. Traditional "luzzu" (brightly colored traditional fishing boats) and larger fishing boats line the sheltered harbor in a colorful display.
Marsaxlokk is also popular for its many charming restaurants and pleasant cafes along its entire promenade and for its charming large open-air market, which sells a wide variety of local products, such as fish, honey, fruit, jams, traditional sweets, wines, spirits, souvenirs, clothing, and much more.
This is the perfect place to spend a Sunday morning, enjoying a walk through the unique surroundings of this picturesque town, where we can rub shoulders with the locals, experience the Maltese lifestyle, and admire the beautiful sea views as we explore the market.
The next stop is Wied Iz-Zurrieq (Zurrieq Valley), where you will visit the magnificent Blue Grotto and appreciate the fantastic landscape and stunning views surrounding the entire site.
The Blue Grotto is a complex of seven caves located along the southern coast of the island. This complex comprises a huge and imposing main arch, which measures approximately 30 meters high, and a system of 6 other caves, among which you will find the Honeymoon Cave, the Cat Cave, and the beautiful Cave of the Reflection.
You will finish the tour with a visit to Qrendi, one of Malta's unspoilt traditional villages. The guide will help you explore this quiet and charming typical Maltese village. Although it is small and compact with a population of only 2700 people, it is at the same time packed with interesting attractions: from the main square to the center of the town, with its parish church and music club, you will go through a labyrinth of narrow and winding streets that have a story to tell.
Greca Tip: You can sail to the Blue Grotto depending on the weather. The supplement must be paid at the destination.
