Skip-the-Line Guided Tour to Sagrada Familia and Park Guell

Our guided tour will begin at the scheduled time near Park Güell. The premises are located in one of the most privileged areas with breathtaking views of the city. During our visit, we will discover how Gaudí's original project has evolved to create the current park and stroll through its monumental area.

The park was originally conceived as a residential project by the businessman Eusebi Güell, who was a patron and friend of the architect Antoni Gaudí. The idea was to create a set of luxury homes surrounded by green areas and community services. In 1900, the Güell family commissioned Gaudí with the task of designing the project. Gaudí transformed the original idea into a completely unique concept, merging architecture with nature and creating a space full of organic forms, vibrant colors, and surrealistic details.

At the end of the visit, we will transfer with our entire group to Sagrada Familia, another outstanding work by the Catalan architect. Known today as one of the city's landmarks, recognized worldwide and visited by millions of people.

The construction of this impressive monument began in 1882, originally commissioned to the architect Francesc de Paula Villar, but it was Gaudí who inherited the project and turned it into a much more ambitious one, envisioning the construction of a temple with 5 naves, transept, apse, exterior ambulatory, 3 façades, and 18 towers.

This project can be considered the most complex and unique of all undertaken by Gaudí throughout his career, to which he dedicated 43 years of his life. The part built by Gaudí was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2005. The Construction Board expects to complete the work in 2026, coinciding with the centenary of Gaudí's death.

Antoni Gaudí presents to us the life of Jesus and the history of faith. The temple has 18 towers dedicated to different important characters from the Bible: 12 of them represent the apostles, 4 the evangelists, one the Virgin Mary, and the tallest of all to Jesus Christ, which will be crowned by a cross reaching 172 meters in height.

Greca Tip: Upon entering Park Güell, we will encounter a colorful staircase flanked by the famous mosaic salamander, also known as "El Drac". This iconic figure has become one of the most recognizable symbols of the park.
