Once at the meeting point in Siena, we get ready to enjoy an unforgettable day through the heart of Tuscany with this experience that combines dreamlike landscapes, historic towns, and world-renowned wines.
Our adventure begins in the charming medieval village of Monteriggioni, where we meet the rest of the group before venturing into the rolling hills of the Chianti region.
We visit our first winery, where we discover the secrets behind wine production and extra virgin olive oil made from ancient local olive varieties. Here, we enjoy a tasting of three wines, accompanied by artisanal olive oil and traditional Tuscan bread, while our guide introduces us to the history, art, and rural culture of the region.
We then continue to the idyllic Val d’Orcia, stopping in Pienza, a Renaissance jewel and UNESCO World Heritage Site. Free time is provided to stroll through its panoramic streets, admire the scenery, and enjoy a relaxed lunch.
In the afternoon, we arrive in Montepulciano, where Renaissance architecture and historic churches frame the tradition of the renowned Vino Nobile di Montepulciano. We explore the town and take in its views before visiting a second winery for another tasting of local wines paired with traditional snacks.
At the end of the day, we return to the starting point to rest, taking with us the aromas, flavors, and memories of an authentic Tuscany.
Greca Tip: In Pienza, be sure to try a local pecorino cheese paired with honey or jam—a simple combination that reflects the region’s gastronomic soul.
