At the indicated time you must go to the port of Pozzallo to board the ferry. Once in Valletta, you will have the day free to tour this magnificent archipelago aboard the double-decker tourist bus that will allow you to get on and off as many times as you want.
Malta has a history dating back to prehistory, with megalithic temples dating back more than 5,000 years. Malta's strategic location has led to it being contested and ruled by various powers over the centuries, including the Phoenicians, Romans, Arabs, Normans, the Knights of St John, the French, and the British.
This archipelago has three notable cities:
Valletta: The capital of Malta and one of the main cultural and historical centers of the country. Valletta is known for its stunning baroque architecture, cobblestone streets, historic fortifications, museums, and St. John's Cathedral.
Mdina: Also known as the "City of Silence" or the "Ancient City", Mdina is a walled city located in the center of Malta. It is famous for its narrow medieval streets, baroque architecture, and panoramic views. Mdina was the former capital of Malta before Valletta took over that role.
Birgu (Vittoriosa): One of the Three Harbors Cities (the other two being Senglea e Cospicua), Birgu is known for its rich maritime and military history. It has impressive fortifications, including Fort San Angelo, which played a crucial role during the Great Siege of Malta in 1565.
At the scheduled time you will have to go to the port again to take the ferry back to Italy.
Greca Tip: The official languages of Malta are Maltese and English.
