SINTRA AND CASCAIS FROM LISBON

We will meet at 08:45 AM at the meeting point located in Eduardo VII Park. From there, we will begin a magical journey to Sintra, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, traveling through some of the most stunning coastal landscapes in Portugal.

Our route begins with a panoramic drive along the Estoril Coast, offering breathtaking views of the Atlantic Ocean and the elegant Estoril Casino, one of the largest and most glamorous in Europe. Surrounded by manicured gardens, this iconic landmark sets the tone for our sophisticated coastal adventure. We’ll then arrive in the vibrant seaside town of Cascais, where you’ll have time to stroll through its lively streets, explore the marina, and soak up its cosmopolitan charm.

Next, we’ll stop at the wild and scenic Guincho Beach, known for its dramatic cliffs and crashing waves, a paradise for surfers and nature lovers. Just beyond, we’ll visit the awe-inspiring Boca do Inferno (“Mouth of Hell”), a natural rock formation where the sea crashes against the cliffs in a powerful, mesmerizing display.

We’ll continue on to Cabo da Roca, the westernmost point of mainland Europe. From these towering cliffs, you’ll gaze out at the endless Atlantic Ocean, standing at the very place poet Luís de Camões described as “where the land ends and the sea begins.”

In the afternoon, we’ll arrive in Sintra, a romantic gem nestled among hills and forests. You’ll have free time to wander through its charming historical center, with cobbled streets, artisan shops, and cozy cafés. The highlight of the day is a guided visit to the Pena Palace, a fairy-tale castle perched high on a hill.
