Excursion Itinerary: Lake Como And Bellagio From Milan

Today you will depart from the Milan Visitor Center at 08:30 hrs. to visit the charming localities of Como and Bellagio, two of the most beautiful places in the region of Lombardy. Lake Como, also known as Lario, is the third largest of the Italian lakes (after Lake Garda and Lake Maggiore) and has the characteristic shape of an inverted Y. The entire perimeter of Lake Como is studded with charming villages and towns.
Bellagio, the Pearl of Lake Como, is in the midst of Lake Como's two southern branches and is famous worldwide for its beautiful villas overlooking the water, like Villa Serbelloni or Villa Melzi, a paradise for those who love gardens in bloom and magnificent historic residences! You can wander in the tiny streets of its old town center with its one main road, Via Giuseppe Garibaldi, and head to Piazza della Chiesa to admire the Basilica of San Giacomo, a Romanesque church built between the 11th and 12th centuries. Here you can also stop for a cappuccino or an ice-cream and feel like a film-star.
Your tour is a leisurely tour in a slow and unwinding world, so after time for some shopping and eating you will have time to take a cruise on the lake. On the cruise you be able to see the villas and castles with their stunning exotic gardens that sweep down to the lakeside.
In the afternoon you will return to Como and back to Milan at about 18:30 hrs.
Greca Tip: Wear a pair of comfortable shoes and get ready to walk a lot of ups and downs as there are many stairs in the town of Bellagio.
