Full day cruise to Balos and Gramvousa

At the scheduled time, you will be picked up from your hotel and transferred to the Port of Kissamos, where you will board a comfortable boat for an unforgettable cruise along the stunning northwestern coast of Crete.

As you sail across the gulf, admire the spectacular coastal scenery, including a vast cave believed to have served as the ancient shipyard of Tarsanas. During the journey, you will also learn about the remarkable geological phenomenon that has shaped the island over the centuries, with western Crete gradually rising while the eastern side slowly sinks due to ancient seismic activity.

After approximately one hour of sailing, you will arrive at the breathtaking Balos Lagoon, one of Greece's most iconic natural wonders. Enjoy plenty of free time to relax on the soft white sand, swim in the crystal-clear turquoise and emerald waters, or simply take in the extraordinary scenery that has made Balos one of the Mediterranean's most photographed destinations.

Next, a short cruise will take you to the historic Island of Gramvousa. Here, you may hike to the impressive Venetian Fortress, built in 1579 atop a rugged cliff 137 metres above sea level. The approximately 20-minute walk is rewarded with spectacular panoramic views over the Cretan Sea and the surrounding islands. Alternatively, you may choose to relax or enjoy a refreshing swim in the crystal-clear waters of Gramvousa Beach.

After your visit, you will sail back to the Port of Kissamos before returning to your hotel, bringing this unforgettable day exploring two of Crete's most spectacular natural treasures to an end.
