Our day begins as we meet our guide and depart comfortably through the vibrant streets of Cairo, a city where ancient traditions and modern life coexist in extraordinary harmony. Throughout this journey, we will discover some of the capital’s most significant cultural and historical landmarks, offering a deeper understanding of Egypt’s remarkable legacy across different eras.

We first visit the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization, home to more than 50,000 artifacts that narrate the evolution of one of the world’s oldest civilizations. Beyond its impressive collection, the museum provides a fascinating perspective on how Egyptian culture developed through the Pharaonic, Greco-Roman, Coptic, Islamic, and modern periods. The experience allows us to appreciate Egypt not only as an ancient kingdom, but as a living civilization shaped over thousands of years.

The journey continues to the majestic Saladin Citadel, a UNESCO World Heritage Site built during the 12th century atop the Mokattam Hills. From this strategic fortress, we enjoy sweeping views over Cairo while learning about Sultan Saladin's role in defending the city and shaping Islamic Egypt. Its imposing architecture and historical relevance make this one of Cairo’s most iconic landmarks.

Later, we immerse ourselves in the atmosphere of Khan El-Khalili Bazaar, one of the oldest and most celebrated markets in the Middle East. Walking through its narrow lanes reveals a world of traditional crafts, spices, lanterns, and local artistry that still preserves the spirit of medieval Cairo. The day concludes in Old Cairo, where we explore important Coptic landmarks including the Hanging Church, Saint Barbara Church, and Abu Serga Church, each one reflecting the city’s rich religious and cultural diversity.
