AMALFI COAST AND POMPEII FROM NAPLES

Our experience begins at 08:30 am from the designated meeting point in Naples, where we set off to discover two of southern Italy’s most iconic destinations: the stunning Amalfi Coast and the timeless ruins of Pompeii.

We first travel along the spectacular Amalfi Coast, a UNESCO World Heritage Site renowned for its dramatic cliffs, colorful villages, and sweeping views over the Mediterranean Sea. Driving along the famous coastal road, we will enjoy several panoramic stretches offering outstanding photo opportunities. We will stop in one or two of the most emblematic towns, such as Amalfi or Positano, where you will have approximately three hours of free time to wander through narrow streets, browse artisan shops, or simply relax by the sea and soak in the unique coastal atmosphere.

In the afternoon, we continue toward the legendary archaeological site of Pompeii. Before entering the excavations, we will make a brief stop at a traditional cameo workshop, where these refined Roman-inspired jewels are still handcrafted today—an excellent opportunity to observe the artisan at work and select a meaningful souvenir.

We then begin a guided visit of Pompeii, accompanied by an official expert archaeological guide. For approximately two hours, we will walk through the ancient cobblestone streets, discovering well-preserved Roman houses, forums, thermal baths, and other key areas that illustrate daily life before the catastrophic eruption of Mount Vesuvius in 79 AD. When accessible, we may also see the evocative plaster casts of the victims, offering a powerful insight into the tragedy that froze the city in time.

At the end of the visit, we return comfortably to Naples, concluding a day filled with breathtaking landscapes, history, and unforgettable memories.
