In the morning, we will meet at the designated meeting point in central Madrid, at least 15 minutes before departure. From there, we will set off aboard a comfortable, air-conditioned coach towards Segovia, a city filled with history and Castilian elegance.
Upon arrival, we will enter the Alcázar of Segovia, one of the most spectacular fortresses in Spain. Accompanied by our local guide, we will enjoy a guided tour of its interior, discovering its halls, towers, and legends, while admiring the silhouette that is said to have inspired Walt Disney. We will then continue with a walk through the former Jewish Quarter and admire the exterior of the Cathedral of Segovia, a masterpiece of late Gothic architecture.
Afterwards, we will continue on to Ávila, one of the best-preserved walled cities in Europe. Together with our guide, we will explore its historic center, learning about its fascinating medieval past among Romanesque churches, Gothic palaces, and its unique fortified cathedral. We will walk along the Walls of Ávila, declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site, imagining the centuries of history they have witnessed. We will also visit the interior of the Church of Saint Teresa, closely linked to the life of the famous saint.
At the end of the day, we will return to Madrid.
Greca Tip: In Ávila, notice how the city walls blend seamlessly with the urban landscape—few medieval fortifications in Europe preserve such a perfect harmony between defense, architecture, and daily life.
