At the appointed time, you will head to Waverley station in Edinburgh to catch the train that will take us to the city of Inverness.
As you depart from Edinburgh, you will pass through beautiful Scottish landscapes, such as rolling hills, green fields, and possibly picturesque lakes and rivers.
This journey is renowned for offering breathtaking views of the Scottish Highlands. After approximately 4 hours, you will reach your destination.
Inverness is known for its proximity to the famous Loch Ness, home to the legendary Loch Ness Monster, also known as "Nessie". Although the actual existence of Nessie is a subject of debate, the mythical creature has captured the imagination of people worldwide.
In addition to the monster legend, Inverness offers charming architecture, beautiful landscapes, and a rich history that makes it a fascinating destination for visitors.
Greca Tip: Loch Ness is one of Scotland's largest freshwater lakes, and the quest for the monster has spawned numerous legends and expeditions over the years.

After enjoying a hearty breakfast, you will have the day free to explore the most beautiful corners of this city.
You can explore the lake through various activities, such as boat rides. The nearby fortress, Urquhart Castle, offers spectacular views of the lake and is a fascinating place in itself.
Another option is to wander through the city center, where you will find a wide variety of shops, boutiques, and art galleries. There are also entertainment options, such as theaters and cinemas, allowing visitors to immerse themselves in local life.
In the afternoon, we will head to the station to take our train back to Edinburgh.
Have a nice trip! Or, as we say here, "Guid cheerio!"
Greca Tip: If you feel that your stay in this city was short, you can add additional nights in step 1 of the booking process.
