Excursion Itinerary: Cinque Terre And Portovenere From Florence

We will meet with the guide at Villa Costanza Tramvia terminal number 1, where the tour will begin.
Coming from Florence we will pass through the northern part of Tuscany. After the province of Massa-Carrara, we will enter La Spezia province and Liguria region.
Our first stop will be Portovenere, the hidden treasure between Cinque Terre and Versilia. Despite the fact that it is not part of the five villages that make up the Cinque Terre, Portovenere is a destination not to miss. Here, we will be enchanted by the Doria Castle, the majestic fortress with characteristic features of Genoese military architecture, built in the historic center of Portovenere. From here, we will also have the opportunity to enjoy the splendid view of the transparent waters of the sea.
Next stop it's going to be Calata Doria, we will then see the Church of San Pietro, the oldest religious building in the Gulf remembered as the "Christian temple" by the illustrious poet and writer Eugenio Montale.
Our local guides will lead the way to discover the pearl of Cinque Terre, Monterosso al Mare. Well-positioned in the center of a natural basin, Monterosso town goes down to the sea, embracing its sparkling waters. This place offers some spacious and easy-to-access sandy beaches. This is really important for those who don’t like rocks. Monterosso seaside is comfortable and less wild than the other areas of the Cinque Terre.
