ROME - THE ETERNAL CITY
1
ROME - THE ETERNAL CITY

Upon your arrival at the airport of the 'Eternal City', a member of our team will be waiting for you in one of our private vehicles to welcome you and transfer you comfortably and quickly to your hotel.

Rome was called the “Eternal City” by the ancient Romans because they believed that no matter what happened in the rest of the world, the city of Rome would always remain standing. Throughout the centuries the Italian capital reached the pinnacle of the historic, artistic, and cultural expression of the Western world and you will understand why this great city is proudly featured in the UNESCO World Heritage list since 1980.

The rest of the day will be free for you to relax, and if you wish, begin to enjoy Rome at your own pace.

Greca Tip: Remember that the best way to get around the narrow and pedestrian streets of the historic center of Rome is on foot.

Optionally, you can book a guided tour in English with exclusive, skip-the-line tickets and visit the Vatican Museums, Sistine Chapel and St. Peter's Basilica or the magical Colosseum.

Greca Tip: It is advisable to use public transport to reach the furthest points of the city, such as the Catacombs or the Vatican and be sure to stock up on bus tickets ahead of time because you cannot buy them on the bus.
