Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by your Greca Travel representative. From here, we will transfer you to Arusha, a vibrant city nestled at the foothills of Mount Meru and a gateway to Tanzania’s spectacular northern safari circuit.

Our adventure in Tanzania begins after enjoying a hearty breakfast: we will meet our local representative and set out toward the remarkable landscapes of Lake Manyara National Park, a hidden gem nestled between the Great Rift Valley escarpment and the shimmering waters of the lake.

The journey itself reveals the changing scenery of northern Tanzania, where rural villages, open plains, and lush vegetation gradually unfold, introducing us to the natural beauty of this unique region.

Depending on our arrival time, we will enjoy lunch either upon reaching the lodge or as a scenic picnic along the way. In the afternoon, we embark on our first game drive, exploring Lake Manyara National Park’s diverse ecosystems. Though compact, the park is celebrated for its extraordinary biodiversity: acacia woodlands, dense forests, baobab-strewn cliffs, marshlands, and the lake itself provide perfect habitats for wildlife. As we explore, we may encounter elephants moving gracefully through the forest, large troops of baboons, giraffes, zebras, and perhaps even the famous tree-climbing lions. As the day winds down, we settle into Lake Manyara Serena Safari Lodge, overlooking the dramatic escarpment and surrounded by the sounds of the African wilderness. By midday we arrive at our lodge and pause to enjoy lunch, surrounded by sweeping views of the plains. Today we travel toward Tarangire National Park, a remarkable and often lesser-known gem celebrated for its dramatic landscapes and exceptional wildlife. As we make our way south, the scenery gradually changes, revealing open savannahs scattered with towering baobab trees, some of the most iconic and ancient trees of the African continent.

Upon arrival at the lodge we pause to enjoy lunch, surrounded by the tranquil atmosphere of the park. In the afternoon we venture out for a safari in Tarangire National Park, exploring a landscape shaped by granite ridges, seasonal swamps and the life-giving Tarangire River, which becomes a vital water source during the dry season. This attracts large concentrations of wildlife, particularly impressive herds of elephants for which the park is famous. Along the way we may also encounter zebras, wildebeest, giraffes, buffalo and a variety of antelope species, while lions and other predators often patrol the area in search of prey.

By midday, we arrive in Arusha and enjoy lunch, reflecting on the incredible experiences that have shaped our safari adventure — from the endless plains of the Serengeti National Park, to the extraordinary wildlife sanctuary of the Ngorongoro Crater, and the baobab-dotted landscapes of Tarangire National Park.

In the afternoon, we continue to our hotel in Arusha city centre, marking the closing chapter of this remarkable exploration through some of East Africa’s most iconic natural wonders. We will enjoy our accommodation in Arusha and prepare for departure from Tanzania tomorrow.
