IMPORTANT NOTES:

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by your Greca Travel representative. From here, we will transfer you to Arusha, a vibrant city nestled at the foothills of Mount Meru and a gateway to Tanzania’s spectacular northern safari circuit.
During the drive, take in the lush landscapes of the region, dotted with coffee plantations, rolling hills, and traditional Maasai villages, setting the stage for your African adventure.
Upon arrival in Arusha, you will check in at your hotel, where you can unwind after your journey. The evening is free for relaxation, allowing you to acclimatize to the local time and environment before the exciting adventures ahead. Enjoy a leisurely dinner and settle into the welcoming ambiance of your accommodation.
Greca Tip: Arusha is often called the “Geneva of Africa” due to its role as a diplomatic hub. It also serves as the starting point for some of the most iconic safaris in Tanzania, including journeys to the Serengeti, Ngorongoro Crater, and Lake Manyara.

Our adventure in Tanzania begins after enjoying a hearty breakfast: we will meet our local representative and set out toward the remarkable landscapes of Lake Manyara National Park, a hidden gem nestled between the Great Rift Valley escarpment and the shimmering waters of the lake.
The journey itself reveals the changing scenery of northern Tanzania, where rural villages, open plains, and lush vegetation gradually unfold, introducing us to the natural beauty of this unique region.
Depending on our arrival time, we will enjoy lunch either upon reaching the lodge or as a scenic picnic along the way. In the afternoon, we embark on our first game drive, exploring Lake Manyara National Park’s diverse ecosystems. Though compact, the park is celebrated for its extraordinary biodiversity: acacia woodlands, dense forests, baobab-strewn cliffs, marshlands, and the lake itself provide perfect habitats for wildlife. As we explore, we may encounter elephants moving gracefully through the forest, large troops of baboons, giraffes, zebras, and perhaps even the famous tree-climbing lions. The lake often glows pink with thousands of flamingos and hosts hundreds of bird species, making it a paradise for bird enthusiasts.
As the day winds down, we settle into Lake Manyara Serena Safari Lodge, overlooking the dramatic escarpment and surrounded by the sounds of the African wilderness. In the evening, we will enjoy dinner at the lodge, reflecting on the day’s first safari encounters and preparing for the adventures to come.
Greca Tip: Lake Manyara is one of the best places in Tanzania to observe tree-climbing lions, a rare behavior believed to help them escape insects and enjoy cooler breezes among the branches.

The morning begins with breakfast as the African wilderness slowly awakens around us, setting the tone for an extraordinary journey toward one of the most celebrated wildlife reserves on the planet. Today we travel deeper into Tanzania, heading toward the legendary Serengeti National Park, a landscape synonymous with untamed nature and vast horizons. Along the way, our drive becomes a safari in itself, offering opportunities to observe wildlife as the scenery gradually transforms into the endless savannahs that define the Serengeti ecosystem.
By midday we arrive at our lodge and pause to enjoy lunch, surrounded by sweeping views of the plains. In the afternoon, we set out for our first game drive in the Serengeti, exploring the iconic Seronera Valley, one of the richest wildlife habitats in the park. Granite kopjes rise dramatically above the golden grasslands, while acacia trees dot the horizon and rivers attract an abundance of animals. This region forms a crucial part of the great migration route and supports remarkable biodiversity, from giraffes and elephants to lions, leopards, hyenas and countless antelope species. Every moment offers the possibility of witnessing nature at its most authentic and powerful.
As evening settles over the savannah, we return to the lodge where dinner awaits, a memorable moment beneath the African sky as the distant sounds of wildlife accompany the night.
Greca Tip: The Serengeti takes its name from the Maasai word “Siringet,” meaning “endless plains,” a perfect description of one of the most iconic landscapes in Africa.

With the vast plains of the Serengeti stretching endlessly before us, the day begins with breakfast as the early light illuminates the savannah and wildlife gradually becomes active.
Today is dedicated entirely to exploring Serengeti National Park, allowing us to immerse ourselves in one of the most extraordinary ecosystems on Earth. Renowned for its immense open landscapes and remarkable concentration of wildlife, the Serengeti offers a safari experience unlike any other.
Throughout the day, we embark on an extended game drive across the Serengeti, following the rhythms of the wilderness. Depending on the season, we may encounter herds of wildebeest and zebras moving across the plains as part of the great migration, while predators such as lions, leopards and cheetahs patrol their territories. Elephants, giraffes, buffalo and a wide variety of antelope species roam freely across this UNESCO-recognized landscape, while the scattered granite kopjes serve as lookout points for big cats. During the day we pause to enjoy lunch, surrounded by the untamed beauty of the park.
As golden evening light settles over the plains, we return to the lodge where dinner awaits, the perfect setting to reflect on the unforgettable encounters of the day beneath the immense Serengeti sky.
Greca Tip: The Serengeti ecosystem supports one of the largest concentrations of large mammals on Earth, making it one of the best places in the world to observe predators in their natural habitat.

As the first light spreads across the Serengeti plains, we begin the day with breakfast before setting out toward one of Africa’s most extraordinary natural wonders: the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Our journey becomes another memorable safari experience as we travel through the Serengeti with en-route game viewing, keeping watch for wildlife that roams freely across this vast ecosystem. The scenery gradually transforms as open savannah gives way to the lush highlands surrounding the Ngorongoro region.
By midday we arrive at the lodge perched dramatically along the rim of the Ngorongoro Crater, where we pause to enjoy lunch while taking in breathtaking views over the immense volcanic caldera below. Formed millions of years ago after the collapse of a massive volcano, this UNESCO World Heritage Site shelters one of the highest concentrations of wildlife in Africa and is often referred to as one of the natural wonders of the continent.
The afternoon is left at leisure, allowing time to appreciate the spectacular setting, relax, or simply absorb the serenity of the highlands as mist drifts across the crater rim. As evening approaches, we gather to enjoy dinner at the lodge, surrounded by the dramatic landscapes of the Ngorongoro Highlands.
Greca Tip: The Ngorongoro Crater is the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera and is often called “Africa’s Garden of Eden” because of its extraordinary concentration of wildlife.

The morning begins with breakfast as the mist slowly lifts from the highlands, revealing the breathtaking panorama of the Ngorongoro Crater, one of Africa’s most extraordinary natural sanctuaries. Today we descend into this vast volcanic caldera for a full-day game drive, entering a landscape often described as a natural wildlife amphitheater. Formed millions of years ago, the crater floor shelters a remarkable concentration of animals within its fertile plains, forests and freshwater lakes.
As we explore the crater throughout the day, we encounter a diverse array of wildlife thriving in this unique ecosystem. Large herds of zebra, wildebeest and buffalo graze across the grasslands, while elephants roam the forests and hippos gather in tranquil pools. The Ngorongoro Crater is also one of the best places in East Africa to spot predators, including lions and hyenas, and with some luck even the rare black rhinoceros that finds refuge within this protected environment. During the excursion we pause to enjoy lunch, surrounded by the dramatic scenery of the crater floor.
In the late afternoon we ascend once again to the crater rim and return to the lodge, where dinner offers the perfect moment to reflect on a day spent exploring one of the most remarkable wildlife habitats on Earth.
Greca Tip: The Ngorongoro Crater hosts nearly 25,000 large animals year-round, making it one of the most densely populated wildlife areas in Africa.

The morning begins with breakfast as we take in the fresh air of the Ngorongoro Highlands before continuing our journey through northern Tanzania. Today we travel toward Tarangire National Park, a remarkable and often lesser-known gem celebrated for its dramatic landscapes and exceptional wildlife. As we make our way south, the scenery gradually changes, revealing open savannahs scattered with towering baobab trees, some of the most iconic and ancient trees of the African continent.
Upon arrival at the lodge we pause to enjoy lunch, surrounded by the tranquil atmosphere of the park. In the afternoon we venture out for a safari in Tarangire National Park, exploring a landscape shaped by granite ridges, seasonal swamps and the life-giving Tarangire River, which becomes a vital water source during the dry season. This attracts large concentrations of wildlife, particularly impressive herds of elephants for which the park is famous. Along the way we may also encounter zebras, wildebeest, giraffes, buffalo and a variety of antelope species, while lions and other predators often patrol the area in search of prey.
As the golden light of evening settles over the savannah, we return to the lodge where dinner awaits, a peaceful moment to relax and reflect on another memorable day immersed in the wild beauty of Tanzania.
Greca Tip: Tarangire is famous for its giant baobab trees, some believed to be over a thousand years old and often called the “Tree of Life” for their ability to store water inside their massive trunks.

After enjoying a final breakfast, we take a last moment to soak in the landscapes and wildlife that have accompanied us throughout this unforgettable journey. Today we begin our return toward Arusha, the vibrant gateway to northern Tanzania’s safari circuit, a city surrounded by fertile highlands and spectacular views of Mount Meru.
The drive provides a final opportunity to observe rural life and the changing scenery of the Tanzanian countryside, passing through small villages, open plains, and cultivated fields. By midday, we arrive in Arusha and enjoy lunch, reflecting on the incredible experiences that have shaped our safari adventure — from the endless plains of the Serengeti National Park, to the extraordinary wildlife sanctuary of the Ngorongoro Crater, and the baobab-dotted landscapes of Tarangire National Park.
In the afternoon, we continue to our hotel in Arusha city centre, marking the closing chapter of this remarkable exploration through some of East Africa’s most iconic natural wonders. We will enjoy our accommodation in Arusha and prepare for departure from Tanzania tomorrow.
Greca Tip: Arusha is not only a gateway to the safari circuit but also a vibrant cultural hub, offering insights into Tanzanian traditions, markets, and local cuisine — a perfect introduction or farewell to the wonders of East Africa.

After enjoying a leisurely breakfast, we will prepare for the final leg of our journey in Tanzania. You will be transferred from your hotel in Arusha to Kilimanjaro International Airport, where your onward flight awaits.
During the drive, take in the last glimpses of the verdant highlands and rural landscapes that have framed your safari adventure. This is the perfect moment to reflect on the unforgettable experiences of the past days — from the majestic wildlife of the Serengeti and Ngorongoro to the serene beauty of Lake Manyara and Tarangire, as your remarkable Tanzanian journey with Greca comes to a close.
Greca Tip: The route to Kilimanjaro Airport offers stunning views of Mount Meru and the surrounding highlands — a final chance to capture the essence of Tanzania before your departure.
