Package Tour Itinerary: Wonders Of Campania & Sicily

At your arrival at Naples airport, you will be transferred to Sorrento, one of the most popular destinations in Italy.
The earliest history of Sorrento Italy shows that the town took its name from the Sirens – which were mythical creatures of the sea that were said to seduce sailors with their lovely voices and then lead them to their demise.
On the way to the hotel in Sorrento you will be able to admire the beauty of this mystical and historical city
Greca Tip: Today the incredible Limoncello is not more a guarded secret kept by Italian grandfathers, do not miss it.

After your breakfast at the hotel you will have a half day excursion to Pompeii, where you will admire the famous archaeological site of Pompeii with an expert official guide. You will join a small group to ensure a more personal experience! You will have time to walk along the ancient "cardini" and "decumani" and explore the remains of the Romans. Pompeii remained buried by volcanic ash from the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in the first century, until the beginning of excavations in the 18th century. You will see the bathrooms, streets, bakeries and forums that were an integral part of daily life at that time, and marvel at the magnificently preserved frescoes that adorn the walls and floors of the fine villas.
You will then return to Sorrento and the rest of the day is free to explore Sorrento at your own pace. In the evening you will rest at your hotel.
Greca Tip: Wear comfortable footwear, sturdy enough for the landscape at Pompeii, as well as a hat, lightweight clothes and carry plenty of water.

After a delicious breakfast, you will move to the port of Sorrento to board the ferry to the island of Capri. Once there, if the weather and sea conditions are optimal, you will embark on rowing boats, towards the world-renowned Blue Grotto. The grotto will amaze you with its beauty, deep and clear blue water colors. Then, from the port of Marina Grande, you will continue the journey to Anacapri, which amazes with its panoramic views of the Gulf of Naples.
After a light lunch, you will have free time to visit the well-known Piazzeta, the main square, with its architecture, clock tower, shops and restaurants.
Return to Sorrento late in the afternoon and accommodation at the hotel.
Greca Tip: Please note that since 2019 tourists are banned from taking any plastic to the island of Capri to protect the coastline.

After enjoying a delicious breakfast at the hotel you will depart from Sorrento by coach via the coastal road, "One of the most picturesque coastal roads in Europe". The landscape is stunning, overlooking the Mediterranean. The road twists and turns towards "Positano" (approximately 20 minutes from Sorrento). The city of Positano extends over different levels from the main road to the sea level. The bus stops a few minutes at the top of the road (without reaching Positano) so that guests can enjoy the view and take photos.
Your trip continues with spectacular views to Amalfi (for approximately 1hr) until you arrive in Amalfi around 10:00 hrs, depending on traffic. You will then have 2 hours of free time where you can either choose to visit the magnificent cathedral of the 9th century that proudly dominates the main square of Amalfi and stroll through the narrow streets of the city around the many shops or just enjoy a coffee in one of the lovely cafes.
The tour continues to the small town of Scala, from where you can admire the excellent views over Ravello, a magical land, as described by the most famous travelers and is chosen as "a spiritual homeland." Enjoy a spectacular view of the coast, with views of Minori and Maiori, from this small and charming city. While here you can visit the 11th century cathedral or visit villa Rufolo with its gardens and wonderful views.
The tour ends late in the afternoon with the return to Sorrento. You will rest at your hotel in Sorrento.
Greca Tip: Margherita is always a terrific choice but you can also try a smoked mozzarella pizza topped with roast potatoes.

After enjoying a delicious breakfast at the hotel you will have the rest of the morning free until the time indicated for your transfer to Naples airport to embark your flight to Palermo. Upon your arrival at Palermo airport you will be transferred at your hotel.
Greca Tip: Take the opportunity to buy fresh fruit in the street markets as the price is much lower and the produce comes from the farmers themselves.

After your breakfast, we will pick you up at your hotel to depart from Monreale, where you will have approximately one hour to tour the Duomo, considered one of the reference points of the medieval ecclesiastical architecture of southern Italy. Then back to Palermo.
Today you will learn the history of Palermo visiting the old town. You will also have a panoramic visit through the Politeama Theater, headquarters of the Sicilian Symphony Orchestra. Besides, you will pass by Via Ruggero Settimo and see the Teatro Massimo, considered the most important theater in the city and the third largest theater in Europe. You will have time to admire the impressive cathedral and continue along the Corso Vittorio Emanuele and Piazza Indipendenza to the Royal Palace.
At the indicated time you will return back to your hotel in Palermo.
Greca Tip: Take a few minutes to admire the fascinating mosaics in the Duomo Di Monmreale.

Following your delicious breakfast at the hotel, you will have a day at leisure to enjoy this city that combines beautiful architecture with breathtaking landscapes and enchanting views of the sea or tasting the local food, known for its freshness and ancient roots, is famed throughout the world.
Besides you can explore the markets which are very popular for the typically low prices and the quality of the food testified by the bright colors and enticing aromas.
At the end of the day you can rest at your hotel in Palermo.
Tip Greca: If you wish to enjoy loud music sung by a jovial crowd, usually in a thick southern Italian accent go for a drink to any of the clubs in the center of Palermo

After your breakfast, you will be picked up from your hotel, and after a 2-hour trip you will arrive in Agrigento, which for a long time was called “the most beautiful city of the Mortals”.
Located on a plateau overlooking the sea, next to the Hypsas and Akragas rivers and a ridge to the north that serves as a natural fortification, Agrigento was founded in the sixth century BC. C. by the Greek settlers of Gela.
You will have the opportunity to visit the Valley of the Temples and in particular of the temple of Hera, Concord and Apollo. You will have some free time here to explore the city on your own and then return to Palermo in the afternoon.
Greca Tip: If you have some spare time take a stroll in Agrigento old town, with its beautiful churches and pretty cobblestone streets.

After having a filling breakfast, and at the time indicated, you will be transferred to Palermo airport to board your departure flight.
From Greca we hope to see you again to enjoy some wonderful moments that will remain forever in your memory.
Greca Tip: You can extend your stay at Step 1 of your reservation!
