The rest of the afternoon will be free for you to begin exploring this charming city.
Krakow, the former royal capital of Poland, is known for its well-preserved medieval core and Jewish quarter. It is a city rich in history, brimming with cultural heritage, and filled with impressive architecture, from its Gothic cathedrals to its grand castles. Krakow's unique atmosphere blends old-world charm with a vibrant, modern flair, making it one of Poland’s most visited destinations.
In the evening, take time to relax before meeting your fellow travelers and Tour Director over a welcome drink.
Greca Tip: Krakow’s Old Town is home to one of the largest medieval town squares in Europe. Stroll around and soak in the atmosphere, or stop by one of the many cafés for a taste of the city’s lively social scene.

After a delicious breakfast, we will take you to visit the Wieliczka Salt Mine, a remarkable site over 700 years old and one of the largest and oldest operational salt mines in Europe. Recognized by UNESCO as one of the 12 most priceless monuments in the world, this mine is a true testament to human craftsmanship and history.
An elevator will bring you down to the first level, where you'll marvel at the stunning 180-foot chapel carved entirely out of salt rock, illuminated by beautiful salt-crystal chandeliers. As you explore, you will discover various chambers, underground museums, and even recreational areas like tennis and volleyball courts, all sculpted from a massive salt block.
After the tour, we will return to Krakow for some free time to relax or explore on your own. Later, we will continue our journey with a visit to the Jewish Quarter, an area rich in history and culture that offers a glimpse into the city’s vibrant past.
Greca Tip: Don’t miss the chance to try the famous "zapiekanka," a local street food favorite, while exploring the Jewish Quarter. It’s a delicious and simple snack topped with mushrooms and melted cheese!

After a hearty breakfast, your day begins with a morning sightseeing tour.
You'll head to Wawel Hill, home to the stunning Royal Castle, once the residence of Polish kings, and the Royal Cathedral, where many of Poland’s monarchs were crowned. Following this, you will enjoy a guided walking tour through Krakow’s enchanting Old Town. Stroll through the Main Market Square, one of the largest medieval squares in Europe, and admire the Renaissance Cloth Hall, a hub for merchants for centuries. A visit to the iconic St. Mary’s Church, known for its beautiful altar and Gothic architecture, is also included.
The afternoon is yours to enjoy as you wish—perhaps a peaceful stroll through the city, a spot of shopping, or sampling delicious Polish treats like "sernik" (cheesecake) or "szarlotka" (apple pie).
Greca Tip: Take time to explore the hidden courtyards of Krakow's Old Town—they offer a quiet escape and a glimpse into the city’s past.

After an energizing breakfast, we will embark on a profound and moving visit to Auschwitz-Birkenau.
This notorious concentration camp, now a UNESCO World Heritage site, stands as a haunting reminder of the atrocities of World War II and the resilience of the human spirit. You will walk through the preserved grounds and learn about the tragic history that unfolded here, an experience that is both somber and educational.
In the late afternoon, we will arrive in Warsaw, Poland’s vibrant capital, where you will have dinner and spend the night.
Greca Tip: In Warsaw, take a moment to explore the nearby Łazienki Park, famous for its beautiful gardens and the stunning Palace on the Isle. It’s a serene spot to unwind and soak in the beauty of the city.
