Upon your arrival at Malta Airport, one of our transfers will be waiting you to take you to accommodation in Valletta, which is the capital of Malta, a small archipelago in the Mediterranean Sea.
You will have the rest of the day free to start enjoying the city to your liking.
Greca Tip: This country is known as the sweet one since the word “Malta” comes from the Greek μέλι, which means “honey”.

After a hearty breakfast, you'll have the day free to enjoy this beautiful city.
Valletta is renowned for its rich history and impressive architecture, designated a UNESCO World Heritage site for its historical and cultural significance. It offers visitors a wealth of history, allowing us to explore the city walls surrounding impressive fortifications and bastions built by the Knights of St. John, who ruled Malta in the 16th century. The baroque-style St. John's Co-Cathedral stands as one of Valletta's most famous landmarks.
You'll also have the opportunity to visit Upper Barrakka Gardens, providing breathtaking panoramic views of the Grand Harbour and the Three Cities across the water. Additionally, Fort St. Elmo, which played a pivotal role in the Great Siege of Malta in 1565, now houses the National War Museum
Greca Tip: The city's layout is characterized by a grid of narrow, winding streets, which were designed to provide shade during the hot Maltese summers and to confuse potential invaders.

After a complete breakfast and once you are picked up from the hotel, you will start the day by visiting one of the oldest quarries in Malta. Located in the traditional Maltese village of Siġġiewi, The Limestone Heritage Park & Gardens is a unique and innovative attraction that highlights the beauty of Maltese stone and its incredible 22 million years of history. You will enjoy the opportunity to immerse yourself in the eclectic history of the islands, through an engaging audio-visual presentation and a very informative audio-guided tour.
From here you will proceed to visit the Haġar Qim megalithic temple complex, designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1992, the complex is located at the southern end of the island on the top of a hill overlooking the sea and the islet of Filfa, these temples are among the oldest religious sites on Earth, dating back to 3600-3200 BC C.
The site consists of a central building and the remains of at least two other structures. The large courtyard and the monumental façade of the central structure follow the typical pattern of prehistoric Maltese temples. Along the outer wall, you can find some of the largest megaliths used in the construction of these structures, such as a 5.2-meter-high stone and a huge megalith estimated to weigh close to 20 tons.
Your next stop is Wied Iż-Żurrieq (Żurrieq Valley), where you will visit the magnificent Blue Grotto and appreciate the fantastic landscape and stunning views surrounding the entire site. The Blue Grotto is a complex of seven caves located along the southern coast of the island. This complex comprises a huge and imposing main arch, which measures approximately 30 meters high, and a system of 6 other caves, among which you will find the Honeymoon Cave, the Cat Cave, and the beautiful Cave of the Reflection.
After lunch, you will visit the picturesque fishing village of Marsaxlokk. The town is the largest fishing port in Malta and has been since ancient times.
You will end the tour with a visit to the Għar Dalam cave; Malta's oldest prehistoric site, dating back to 5200 BC, Għar Dalam (meaning Cave of Darkness) is an 1144-meter-long phreatic tube and cave, or dead end, located on the outskirts of the village of Birżebbuġa.
The cave contains skeletal remains of animals that were stranded and subsequently extinct in Malta at the end of the Last Glacial Maximum, such as the dwarf elephant, hippopotamus, giant swan, deer, and bear, which have not lived on the Maltese islands. For thousands of years.
It is also here that the oldest evidence of human settlement in Malta was discovered, around 7400 years ago. Due to its paleontological and archaeological importance, this site is considered one of the most important national monuments in Malta.
Greca Tip: You can sail to the Blue Grotto depending on the weather. The supplement must be paid at the destination.

After a tasty breakfast one of our cars will pick you up from the hotel to transfer you confortably to the port.
After a short twenty-minute ferry crossing, you will reach Mġarr harbour, which immediately sets the pace for Gozo’s unique atmosphere.
Gozo is an idyllic Mediterranean island of quaint fishing villages and peaceful bays. The pastoral landscape features green, rolling hills with a patchwork of small farms that lead down to sandy beaches and small coves. Although the two islands are only separated by a mere eight-kilometre channel, upon setting foot on the island, you will immediately notice that Gozo has its own unique character and atmosphere and is far more rural and picturesque than the island of Malta.
You will start your tour by visiting the megalithic temples of Ġgantija, a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1980. This impressive archaeological site dates to c. 3600–2500 BC.
After visiting the temples of Ġgantija you will proceed to visit Victoria, the delightful capital city of Gozo. Victoria is not just the geographic heart of Gozo; it is also the centre of everyday activity.
At the heart of the city lies another majestic site: the medieval fortress known locally as “Iċ-Ċittadella” (The Citadel). With its distinctive skyline and imposing military architecture, this ancient, fortified structure stands out as Gozo’s major landmark, a beacon visible from all over the island.
The area has been inhabited since the Bronze Age, and the site now occupied by The Citadel is believed to have been the acropolis of the Punic-Roman city of Gaulos, or Glauconis Civitas. During the medieval period, the acropolis was converted into a castle, which served as a refuge for Gozo’s population. A suburb began to develop outside its walls by the 15th century, and this area now forms the historic core of Victoria.
Your next visit is to the delightful sea inlet known as Xlendi Bay. Located at the end of a deep, lush ravine that was once a riverbed and surrounded by picturesque steep cliffs.
Your last stop is at Dwejra, situated on the western shore of the island of Gozo. This area is a geological and ecological haven.
Return to your hotel at Valletta around 18:00 hours.
Greca Tip: Dwejra is also known for its Inland Sea, a small bay surrounded by high cliffs and connected by an impressive 65-metre-long natural tunnel that opens out into the open sea, a truly fascinating natural formation that evokes awe and leaves a striking impression.

After breakfast at your hotel and at the agreed time, we will transfer you to Luqa-Malta airport to board your international flight.
Having spent a few days with Greca we hope to see you again to help you create some more memorable moments that you will cherish for a long time to come.
Have a nice trip! Or as you may also say, 'Addiju!'
Greca Tip: As a going-away gift, you may look for handmade filigree, especially those bearing the eight-pointed Maltese cross.
