Spain, Portugal, and Morocco in 21 days

After arriving at Madrid-Barajas Airport, we will be greeted and transferred to our hotel.

We will have the rest of the day to relax and begin enjoying the capital of Spain.

Madrid, lively and awake at all hours, is famous for being an open city where people of all kinds and from anywhere come together.

In addition to its well-known museums, lively avenues with all kinds of shops, world cuisine restaurants, and incomparable nightlife, Madrid surprises with quiet historic corners full of charm for strolls.

There, we will find centuries-old taverns with family traditions where friends gather for a drink, neighborhoods of all styles, and alternative cultural centers away from the more touristy circuits.

At the same time, this city has an authenticity that is hard to match. It is hospitable, diverse, and undoubtedly one of the most interesting in Europe.

Greca Tip: As in any other large city, the center of Madrid offers a diverse variety of gastronomic venues to suit all tastes, where you can taste the traditional local tapas.

After a delicious breakfast, we will enjoy, along with our guide, a panoramic tour of Madrid's most important landmarks, exploring its avenues, squares, and monuments.

We will start our journey from the Temple of Debod, an ancient Egyptian temple from the 2nd century BC, and continue to the Puerta del Sol Square, considered the Kilometer Zero, the central point of all Spanish roads.

The next stop will be the Plaza de Oriente and the exterior of the Sabatini Gardens, where the royal stables were located, and the Almudena Cathedral.

We will stroll through the beautiful Plaza de la Villa and its winding streets, which was the core of medieval Madrid, continuing to the Plaza de San Miguel, where we will find the famous market of the same name.

Our next destination will be the Plaza Mayor, which we will enter through one of its most well-known and famous accesses: the Arco de Cuchilleros. The Plaza Mayor is a symbol of the city that has witnessed numerous public events, popular festivities, religious processions, and even theatrical performances.

The tour ends at the Plaza de Oriente, located in front of the Royal Palace. The rest of the day will be free to continue enjoying the city at our own pace.

Greca Tip: Madrid is home to some of the world's most important museums, including the Prado Museum, which houses over 1,000 works including Velázquez's Las Meninas, El Bosco's The Garden of Earthly Delights, and Goya's La Maja Desnuda.

After enjoying our breakfast, we will meet at C. de Ferraz, 3, where our journey begins at 08:00 am as we depart from Madrid heading west across the vast Castilian landscapes. Our first stop will be Salamanca, one of Spain’s most renowned university cities and a true architectural treasure.

You will have free time to stroll through its historic center, feel the lively academic atmosphere, and admire the magnificent Plaza Mayor, considered one of the finest Baroque squares in Spain and a vibrant gathering place for locals and students.

After this enriching visit, we will continue our route north, gradually entering the greener scenery of Galicia. As the Atlantic influence becomes more evident, we will arrive in Vigo, a dynamic coastal city closely linked to the sea and its traditions.

At the end of the day, we will return to the hotel to rest and prepare for the experiences awaiting us in the days ahead.

Greca Tip: In Salamanca, try to spot the famous frog carved on the façade of the University — legend says that finding it brings good luck.

After enjoying a delicious breakfast, your journey continues as you cross the Portuguese border, greeted by the fresh Atlantic breeze and rolling green hills. In the morning, you arrive at Viana do Castelo, a charming town embraced by the river Miño and the sea. Its heart beats quietly in the old quarter, where you’ll have free time to wander through cobbled streets lined with emblazoned buildings. These noble facades tell silent tales of explorers who once sailed from here during the Age of Discoveries. A local legend says that the soul of a lost sailor still visits the town’s lighthouse at sunset, seeking his beloved.

By early afternoon, you reach Braga, known as “the city of the archbishops.” Rich in spirituality and history, Braga is Portugal’s third largest city and one of its most ancient. With free time to explore, you may choose to visit its grand cathedral or simply soak in the elegance of its Baroque architecture and lively squares.

As the afternoon draws to a close, you depart for the vibrant city of Porto, where you’ll settle in for the night. Accommodation is provided upon arrival.

Greca Tip: In Braga, wear comfortable shoes its beauty hides in both grand plazas and steep, storied alleys.

After breakfast, we set out to discover Porto, a city proudly recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, where history, tradition, and the Douro River come together in a unique atmosphere. Our panoramic tour will take us through some of the city’s most emblematic landmarks, including the Cathedral, a symbol of Porto’s medieval past, the historic Stock Exchange Palace, and the elegant Church of Santa Clara, reflecting the city’s rich artistic heritage.

As we explore, you will sense the character of Porto in its tiled façades, steep streets, and riverfront views, all shaped by centuries of maritime trade and cultural exchange.

The tour concludes at a traditional wine cellar, where we will enjoy a tasting of the world-famous Port wine, a true symbol of the region and an essential part of its identity.

After this immersive experience, we return to the hotel to relax and enjoy the remainder of the day at leisure.

Greca Tip: When in Porto, try a francesinha, the city’s iconic sandwich—rich, comforting, and best enjoyed in a local tavern for an authentic taste of northern Portuguese cuisine.

After enjoying our breakfast, we will leave Porto to continue our way to Coimbra, home of one of the oldest universities in the world, founded in 1290.

In the city, we will enjoy a traditional Portuguese lunch before having free time. We will be able to admire the stunning architecture of the university buildings, including the Joanine Library, the Royal Palace of Alcáçova, and the Chapel of São Miguel. Don't miss the breathtaking views from the university's hilltop location.

We will stay overnight in this wonderful city.

Greca Tip: Try local specialties such as leitão (suckling pig), chanfana (braised goat or lamb), and pastéis de Tentúgal (custard pastries).

After breakfast, we depart Coimbra and travel toward Fátima, one of the most important pilgrimage destinations in the world. Upon arrival, you will have free time to visit the Sanctuary of Fátima, a place of deep spirituality and reflection, where pilgrims from all corners of the globe gather in an atmosphere of devotion and serenity.

We then continue our journey to Lisbon, the charismatic capital of Portugal, beautifully set at the mouth of the Tagus River. Built over seven hills, the city welcomes us with its light-filled avenues, historic neighborhoods, and unmistakable Atlantic soul. Arrival is scheduled for the afternoon, allowing time to begin enjoying the rhythm and charm of the Portuguese capital.

In the evening, you may choose to join an optional night tour to attend a traditional Fado show, where the melancholic melodies and heartfelt lyrics reveal the essence of Portuguese culture and the emotion known as saudade.

Greca Tip: In Lisbon, try a freshly baked pastel de nata at a traditional pastry shop—this iconic custard tart is the perfect introduction to the city’s sweet traditions.

After a delicious breakfast, we will visit, accompanied by our local guide, the most important sites of this beautiful city of Lisbon, located at the mouth of the Tagus River.

Our first destination will be the Alfama district, which still retains its essence as a neighborhood with low houses and narrow streets. It is the oldest part of Lisbon and the most photogenic due to its graffiti and pastel-colored facades. Because of its labyrinthine structure, inherited from the Arabs, getting lost in its alleys is delightfully easy.

The Belém Tower, situated at the mouth of the Tagus Estuary, initially served as a defensive tower to protect the city, but later became a customs center and lighthouse. It was built between 1515 and 1519 and is the work of Francisco de Arruda. In 1983, it was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

It is located very close to the Jerónimos Monastery, where we will continue our visit. Inside this monastery, we will find a church that houses the tombs of one of the most important figures in the history of Portugal: Vasco da Gama. This Portuguese navigator and explorer was responsible for circumnavigating the African continent to reach India, opening up what became known as the spice route for the Portuguese.

We will have the afternoon free to continue exploring the most precious corners of the city, which is known for being one of the most vibrant cities in Western Europe. Its hills dazzle with the multitude of colors that paint the facades of the houses, as well as its castles and medieval constructions.

Greca Tip: Visit the National Tile Museum, where you can learn about the history of this art that is reflected in all the streets and buildings of the city.

After our breakfast, we will continue our trip to Seville.

After crossing the border between Spain and Portugal, we will stop in the historical city of Caceres, in Extremadura. The city is known for its well-preserved medieval architecture and is a designated UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Its historic center, known as the "Old Town" (Ciudad Monumental), is characterized by narrow cobbled streets, fortified walls, and well-preserved Renaissance palaces, churches, and other buildings.

Some notable landmarks in Caceres include the Plaza Mayor, the Torre de Bujaco, the Palacio de las Veletas, and the Concatedral de Santa María. Cáceres is also famous for its gastronomy, with traditional dishes such as migas, sopa de tomate, and caldereta being popular among locals and visitors alike.

We will continue our way to Seville, where we will arrive in the evening. We will enjoy our dinner and stay overnight in our hotel. 

As of April 2026, the visit to Caceres will be replaced with a visit to Merida, a city that preserves one of the most remarkable Roman legacies in the Iberian Peninsula. Upon arrival, you will have free time to explore its extraordinary archaeological ensemble, where the Roman Theatre and Amphitheatre, both UNESCO World Heritage Sites, transport us back to the splendor of ancient Augusta Emerita. There will be time to enjoy lunch at leisure in the historic surroundings.

Greca Tip: Extremadura is known for producing some of the finest Iberian ham in Spain. Enjoy thin slices of this savory cured ham, which is prized for its melt-in-your-mouth texture and complex flavor.

After breakfast, we begin the day discovering Seville, one of Spain’s most captivating cities, where history, art, and tradition come together effortlessly. Our morning sightseeing tour takes us through the elegant María Luisa Park and the impressive Plaza de España, a true symbol of the city. We continue with views of the magnificent Cathedral of Seville, the largest Gothic cathedral in the world, and its iconic bell tower, La Giralda, before wandering through the charming Santa Cruz neighborhood, a labyrinth of narrow alleys, hidden squares, and whitewashed houses that preserve the city’s Moorish soul.

At midday, you will have free time to enjoy lunch at your own pace and soak in the lively atmosphere of Seville. In the afternoon, you may choose to enrich the experience with an optional cruise along the Guadalquivir River, offering beautiful panoramic views of the Torre del Oro and the legacy of Expo ’92, or an optional visit to the historic Maestranza bullring, one of the most renowned in Spain.

As evening approaches, Seville reveals its most passionate side. Optionally, you may attend an authentic flamenco show, where music, dance, and emotion create an unforgettable experience. After a full and vibrant day, we return to the hotel to rest.

Greca Tip: In Seville, try a traditional tapas crawl in the Triana district—this historic neighborhood is considered the cradle of flamenco and offers some of the city’s most authentic flavors.

After breakfast, we leave Seville behind and set out along the scenic Route of the White Villages, one of Andalusia’s most picturesque journeys. Rolling hills, olive groves, and whitewashed towns accompany us as we arrive in Ronda, one of Spain’s most dramatic and enchanting cities.

You will have free time to explore Ronda at your own pace. Perched atop a deep gorge, the city is famous for its breathtaking views, historic bridges, and rich cultural heritage. Stroll through its charming old town, admire the iconic Puente Nuevo, or simply enjoy the unique atmosphere that blends history, nature, and tradition.

Later, we continue our journey toward the Costa del Sol, where the Mediterranean breeze welcomes us for a relaxing end to the day. Upon arrival, we return to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay, ready to enjoy the coastal charm of southern Spain.

Greca Tip: In Ronda, take a moment to enjoy a coffee or a glass of wine overlooking the gorge—few places in Spain offer such unforgettable panoramic views.

After breakfast, we depart from the Costa del Sol and head toward the port to board the ferry crossing the legendary Strait of Gibraltar, a natural gateway between Europe and Africa. As we sail across these historic waters, a new continent and a new culture gradually unfold before us.

Upon arrival in Tangier, we begin a guided panoramic tour to discover the city’s surroundings, where Atlantic and Mediterranean influences blend seamlessly. We will admire Cape Spartel, the symbolic point where the two seas meet, and view the famous Grottos of Hercules (entrance not included), steeped in myth and legend.

You will then enjoy free time to soak in the lively atmosphere of Tangier, explore its streets, or relax with a mint tea while observing daily life. For those who wish, an optional excursion to Tetouan is available, offering further insight into Morocco’s rich Andalusian heritage.

At the end of the day, we return to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay, resting after an unforgettable introduction to Morocco.

Greca Tip: In Tangier, try a traditional mint tea accompanied by Moroccan pastries—it’s a simple yet authentic way to connect with local culture.

After a tasty breakfast, we will leave for Volubilis, an ancient Roman city located in Morocco, near the city of Meknes and about 30 kilometers north of the modern city of Fez. It was founded in the 3rd century BC and later became an important Roman settlement in North Africa. Today, Volubilis is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is one of the best-preserved Roman ruins in North Africa. 

We will continue our way to Meknes, a World Heritage Site and one of the four imperial cities along with Marrakesh, Fez and Rabat and the ancient capital of Morocco. You will visit this fortified city starting with its walls and its magnificent gates (bab, in Moroccan): Bab el Mansur, the largest gate in the country and in North Africa, the Agdal Pond, built for irrigation in the area, the Plaza Bab Lahdim, epicenter of the city's activity.

Finally, we will arrive in Fez, where we will stay and have dinner.

Greca Tip: Founded in the 11th century by the Almoravid dynasty, Meknes later became the capital of Morocco during the reign of Sultan Moulay Ismail in the 17th century. Under Moulay Ismail's rule, Meknes experienced significant growth and development, with the construction of grand palaces, mosques, and defensive walls, earning it the nickname "Versailles of Morocco."

After breakfast, we set out to discover Fes, the first of Morocco’s imperial cities and its intellectual and spiritual heart. Our day begins with a panoramic drive from the hotel, allowing us to admire the exterior of the Royal Palace with its impressive seven gates, known as Dar Al-Makhzen, before entering a completely different world.

We then step into the legendary medina of Fes El Bali, the oldest and largest in Morocco and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. With hundreds of mosques and a maze of narrow streets, squares, and alleys, the medina feels like a journey back in time. From Bab Boujloud to Es-Seffarine Square, we walk through centuries of history, discovering how the medina is organized, its defensive walls, and the traditional guilds that still shape daily life.

Along the way, we observe artisans at work—leather tanners, seamstresses, and copper craftsmen—preserving techniques passed down through generations. We visit a historic Medersa and end our tour accompanied by the rhythmic sound of hammers shaping copper, just as they did hundreds of years ago.

Lunch is included at a traditional restaurant, followed by a free afternoon to relax or continue exploring at your own pace. At the end of the day, we return to the hotel to rest and enjoy the evening.

Greca Tip: In Fes, take a moment to try pastilla, a unique local specialty that combines sweet and savory flavors—an unforgettable reflection of the city’s refined culinary tradition.

After a tasty breakfast, we will continue our way to Casablanca, where we will have free time to visit the best places of the city such us Boulevard of the Corniche, the seafront promenade and the coastal road, through which you reach Anfa (old quarters of the historic city), a famous neighborhood in which its luxurious houses stand out.

Another must in the city is the Great Mosque of Hassan II, a monumental and modern work (sliding roof and resistance to earthquakes) that holds the title of the third-largest mosque in the world after Mecca and Medina. It is the most representative monument of the 20th century in the city.

In the afternoon, we will continue to Marrakech, where we will have dinner and stay overnight. 

Greca Tip: Being a coastal city, Casablanca is renowned for its fresh seafood. Don't miss out on dishes like grilled sardines, fried calamari, or fish tagine cooked with aromatic spices and herbs.

After breakfast, we set out to explore Marrakesh, one of Morocco’s most captivating imperial cities, where tradition, color, and rhythm come together in a truly unforgettable atmosphere. Our visit begins near the iconic Koutoubia Mosque, once associated with a historic library and today the unmistakable symbol of the city, dominating the skyline with its elegant minaret.

We then continue to the magnificent Bahia Palace, a masterpiece of 19th-century architecture built by hundreds of skilled artisans from Fes. Its courtyards, gardens, and richly decorated rooms reflect the splendor of Morocco’s royal past.

Our journey goes on through the historic Jewish Quarter (Mellah), passing by Kissaria Square until we reach the legendary Jemaa el-Fna Square, a true open-air stage and UNESCO-listed Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. Storytellers, snake charmers, musicians, dancers, and performers transform the square into a living museum, full of energy and tradition.

From here, we wander through the bustling souks, navigating narrow alleys lined with shops, workshops, and terraces. We discover traditional guilds such as carpenters and metal sharpeners, and visit a Berber pharmacy offering natural remedies made mainly from argan oil and its derivatives.

We return to the square, where you will have some free time before lunch at a traditional restaurant. At the end of the day, we head back to the hotel to rest and enjoy the evening.

Greca Tip: In Marrakesh, try a freshly prepared mint tea in Jemaa el-Fna at sunset—the changing colors and lively atmosphere offer one of the most authentic experiences in the city.

After breakfast, we depart towards Rabat, the administrative capital of the country, one of Morocco’s elegant imperial cities and the official residence of the royal family. Calm, refined, and overlooking the Atlantic, Rabat offers a fascinating blend of history and modern life.

Upon arrival, we begin our visit with the iconic Hassan Tower, the imposing remains of an unfinished mosque that still dominates the esplanade, surrounded by more than 200 columns that evoke the grandeur once envisioned for this site. Just nearby, we visit the Mausoleum of Mohammed V, a masterpiece of Moroccan craftsmanship built in honor of the sultan who led the country to independence. Here, the royal guards, dressed in colorful ceremonial attire, stand watch on horseback, adding a solemn and striking atmosphere to the visit.

We then enjoy a leisurely walk through the Kasbah of the Oudayas, with its white-and-blue houses and peaceful streets, followed by a stroll along the promenade overlooking the Bouregreg River, where Rabat and Salé meet.

In the evening, we experience Rabat from a different perspective with a night panoramic tour, before enjoying dinner at a local restaurant. At the end of the day, we return to the hotel to rest.

Greca Tip: While strolling through the Kasbah of the Oudayas, take a moment to pause at a small café overlooking the river—this quiet corner offers one of the most charming and photogenic views in Rabat.

After breakfast, we will start our way back to the port of Tangier to embark in our ferry back to Costa del Sol. 

We will arrive in our hotel in Torremolinos where we will have dinner and stay overnight.

Greca Tip: Take a stroll along the Paseo Marítimo (seafront promenade), which stretches for several kilometers along the coast. Enjoy stunning views of the sea, stop for a drink or meal at one of the many beachfront bars and restaurants, and soak up the lively atmosphere.

After enjoying breakfast, we depart from the Costa del Sol towards the historic city of Granada, nestled at the foot of the Sierra Nevada and renowned for its extraordinary Moorish legacy.

Upon arrival, we visit the spectacular Alhambra and Generalife, a breathtaking ensemble of palaces, courtyards, fountains, and gardens that once served as the residence of the Nasrid kings. As we walk through this UNESCO World Heritage Site, we admire the delicate arches, intricate carvings, and the serene sound of flowing water that define one of the greatest masterpieces of Islamic architecture in Europe. The gardens of the Generalife, designed as a place of rest and reflection, offer magnificent views and a peaceful atmosphere that perfectly complements the grandeur of the palaces.

At the end of the day, we return to the hotel to rest, followed by dinner and accommodation. In the evening, for those who wish, an optional visit to the caves of Sacromonte is available, where you may attend an authentic gypsy flamenco show, a powerful expression of Andalusian culture and emotion.

Greca Tip: In Granada, keep an eye out for traditional teterías (Arab tea houses) in the Albaicín area—mint tea and local sweets are a perfect way to end a day inspired by centuries of history.

After enjoying breakfast, we depart from Granada towards the Imperial City of Toledo, a destination rich in history and monumental heritage, where centuries of coexistence between Christian, Jewish, and Muslim cultures shaped one of Spain’s most fascinating cities.

Upon arrival, we enjoy an included lunch, followed by a stop at the Mirador del Valle, offering a magnificent panoramic view of Toledo’s skyline, with its fortress, cathedral, and winding Tagus River creating an unforgettable postcard.

We then continue with a leisurely walk through the historic old town, wandering along its narrow streets, ancient walls, and emblematic squares that seem frozen in time.

After our visit, we continue our journey back to Madrid, arriving in the evening. At the end of the day, we return to the hotel to rest. 

Greca Tip: In Toledo, if time allows, look for traditional damascene craftsmanship—this centuries-old art of gold and silver inlay is one of the city’s most distinctive souvenirs and reflects its historic legacy.

After a tasty breakfast, the tour will come to an end, hopefully full of unforgettable memories!
