Discover Mykonos Beaches Today
The beaches of the island of Mykonos are extremely popular among the public who decide to visit Greece, overlook the Aegean Sea, and are part of the Cyclades archipelago.
- Agrari Beach: we are talking about one of the quietest beaches on the island, where tourists come who are interested in safe, unhurried free time surrounded by nature.
- Elia Beach: This beach has one of the longest coastlines in Mykonos and is characterized by its deep blue waters.
- Psarou Beach: It is one of the most elegant and crowded beaches in Mykonos. In summer thousands of tourists visit its coast.
- Looking for non-stop fun? Then Paradise Beach & Super Paradise Beach are for you. They have bars around them and at night they become an open-air disco.
How to Travel to Mykonos Island
It is possible to reach Mykonos by flights from all over the world (with stopovers), private flights (charter), or ferries. Basic information to get to Mykonos: in high season tickets are in high demand, which is why we suggest you make a reservation in advance.
- From Athens: if you start your adventure around the island from the Greek capital, it is feasible to arrive by plane or ferry. The distance between these two destinations is 150 kilometers (1 hour by boat), making it a very popular destination among tourists who visit the Greek capital and decide to visit the Greek islands.
- From other locations: it is possible to reach Mykonos by plane. The island only has one national airport, so to enter it you will have to make a previous stopover in another location in Greece.
Best Time to Visit Mykonos
Mykonos is very crowded in July and August. In case you prefer to spend time on the beach in the warmth of summer, we recommend this option.
On the contrary, if what you prefer is to experience the Mediterranean landscape without so many people and with mild temperatures, you should visit the island during the spring (May to June) or autumn (September to October) of Europe.
Explore the Cyclades Islands
As you know, Mykonos is an island located in the center of the Cyclades archipelago, so from its point, you can visit other equally emblematic islands of the Aegean Sea, such as Tinos, Siros, Paros, and Naxos.
Mykonos or Santorini?
The answers to this question are extremely varied since they depend on the taste of each traveler.
In both cases, we can say that the two locations have attractive landscapes, historical monuments, the characteristic architectural style of the Cyclades Islands, and first-class gastronomy.
If what you are looking for is to spend a large part of your time relaxing on the beaches or having unlimited fun, we recommend that you visit Mykonos. On the other hand, if you prefer long walks and visiting very photogenic villages, your option is Santorini.
In any case, at Greca we offer tour packages that include both islands so you don't miss a thing. What are you waiting for?
On the other hand, if you consider yourself more adventurous, you can opt for the characteristic windsurfing in the Aegean Sea or the incredible electronic parties on its shores. To be honest, you can do everything, this island is free of taboos. That depends only on you.
