Excursion Itinerary: Santorini Bus Tour

You will begin your tour on the southwesternmost point of the island, the famous red beach, in order to make a brief stop for photos. This famous volcanic beach is well known for the unique colour of the sand, its soaring red lava cliffs, and clear green waters.
Just a couple of minutes away by bus, you will reach the Akrotiri excavations site, where a guided tour of the site is included (the entrance fees are not included). This is the so-called “Prehistoric Pompei” or “Lost Atlantis”, one of the most important Minoan Bronze Age settlements in the world, buried and preserved by the volcanic ash of one of the largest volcanic eruptions in human history (17th century BC).
Then, you will head further south. in Perissa beach, where you will have free time to enjoy lunch (not included) and relax at one of the longest black sandy beaches in the Cyclades and the most popular beach of Santorini.
Your next stop will be the village of Emporio. This one is the oldest and most authentic traditional village of Santorini, built like a small labyrinth in a 15th century medieval fortress.
After visiting Emporio, you will have the chance to visit one of the oldest vineyards in Europe and taste the famous distinctive Santorini wine, a unique white variety with high acidity, while admiring the spectacular view of the volcano.
Your next stop will be the Prophet Elia mountain, from where you will have the opportunity to admire the striking panoramic view of the entire island.
Last but not least, your tour will end in the popular village of Oia, one the most photographed places in Greece, where you will have free time to witness its legendary sunset!
Greca Tip: Take one of the smooth winding paths and, with a tasty home-made ice cream, discover something new at every corner, from the cave houses dug into the volcanic rock to the blue-domed churches, sun-bathed verandas and gorgeous views.
