Excursion Itinerary: Exploring The Island Of Lokrum

Your tour will begin after meeting your guide at Pile square, just outside the old town, who will give you a brief introduction and a walk through the old town to the old port from where the boat tour to the island of Lokrum.
Upon arrival on the island, the guide will give you an orientation on what to do or where to go and then you will have approximately 4 hours of free time to enjoy the island on your own.
We suggest visiting the Benedictine Monastery, which is reached through the Maximilian Gardens. You can also take a bath in the Mrvto More, literally "the Dead Sea", a ten-meter-deep salt lake that is undoubtedly the most curious and outstanding natural area of Lokrum. Also, you cannot miss the views from the Maximilian Tower, a star-shaped fort from which you can see Dubrovnik and the other nearby islands.
The true treasure of the island is the Botanical Garden, which was founded in 1959 collecting the ancient tradition of horticulture of the monks and has up to 500 different species.
Another place of interest in Lokrum is the nudist beach that is located in Skrinja, to the south of the port where you will arrive, ideal for the last part of your journey, when you must return to the port and embark again for Dubrovnik.
Greca Tip: Don't forget to bring a bathing suit and a camera to capture every corner of this beautiful Adriatic island.
