Excursion Itinerary: North & South Cappadocia Express

At the agreed time you will start your trip to the magical and amazing region of Cappadocia. Cappadocia is unique for its incredible landscape and history. You will arrive at your hotel to check in and rest.
Greca Tip: Consult with your guide about joining in a hot air balloon tour and gently drift over the magnificent valleys of Cappadocia.

If there is one place on the planet where your imagination will run wild, it is Cappadocia. Located in the center of Turkey and made up of thousands of strange conical shaped rocks with pointed tips, this fascinating landscape is absolutely unique in the world
At the indicated time you will spend the day exploring the famous Goreme and other surrounding valleys in a small group or with a private guide. During the Northern Cappadocia tour, you will visit:
The Goreme Open Air Museum, the first and largest monastery. Besides, you will visit the churches, chapels and monasteries carved out of fairy chimneys with frescoes painted on the walls from the 10th to 13th centuries.
The town of Avanos, known for pottery, an art that dates back to the Hittite period will be also in your way. The red clay that local artisans work with comes from the Kizilirmak River, the longest in Turkey. You will enjoy the view of the Kizilırmak river with Turkish tea. In the Pasabaglari Valley or Valley of the Monks we find many fairy chimneys with multiple stems and caps, typical of this area. A chapel dedicated to Saint Simeon is built into one of those three-headed fairy chimneys.
The Devrent Valley has various types of fairy chimneys (caps, cones, mushrooms, and pointy rock and pillar shapes). You will take a walk through this incredible Goreme valley. Panorama is a vantage point from which to enjoy a wonderful view of the city of Goreme, with its spectacular cave houses and fairy chimneys. The three Beauties have a beautiful view of the city of Urgup, famous for its wineries, and the vineyards with apricot gardens where we can take unforgettable photos. After the Tour, you will return to the hotel.
Optionally if we get up early we can enjoy a sunrise in a hot air balloon with a glass of champagne.
Greca Tip: Ask about the possibility of adding the famous early morning Air Balloon ride prior to this tour.

Located in the center of Turkey and made up of thousands of strange conical shaped rocks with pointed tips, this fascinating landscape is absolutely unique in the world. Optionally, if you get up early, you can enjoy the sunrise in a hot air balloon with a glass of champagne. You will then spend the day exploring the famous Göreme Valley and the surrounding valleys in a small group or with a private guide. You will enjoy an excursion touring the south of Cappadocia, the most interesting part of this volcanic territory. First, you will walk 4 km through the Red and Pink Valley. During this beautiful journey you will see the fauna and flora of Cappadocia, rich in minerals and full of vineyards. Before lunch you will enter the Love Valley, formerly called White Valley, that offers a spectacular view with its chimney formations. After lunch at a local restaurant, near Pigeon Valley, you will continue to the amazing Derinkuyu underground city. It is one of the deepest and best preserved underground cities in the region, carved already in the second millennium BC. The village of Uchisar will be your next stop, dominated by a 60-metre-high castle-mountain, which is visible over a wide distance and has the form of a large cylindrical tower. Although there is now nothing inside but hollow rooms, the real prize is at the top. You will be rewarded by the most magnificent panoramic view of the surrounding towns and endless magical fairy chimneys. The excursion will end in the ancient Christian village of Cavusin and Cavusin Castle, where you can enjoy spectacular views over the Cavusin Village, Cavusin Valley and even Goreme. At the end, transfer to the airport for your flight back to Istanbul. Arrival and transfer to your hotel.
Greca Tip: While in Cappadocia you may try a Pottery Kebab which is an Anatolian specialty prepared in a clay pot or jug and the most popular local food.
