Excellent, we found the program very well done, the only thing to mention is the guide that touched us, it lacks a little empathy with the passengers, Gogo knows a lot but it seems that he was always upset, the bus is not fancy as mentioned , but it's going well. The guide of Athens Ilias very entertaining!

FROM ATHENS TO OLYMPIA - CRADLE OF THE OLYMPIC GAMES

Today we will head towards the Corinth Canal, where we will make a brief stop to take some photos and marvel at this famous channel that connects the Aegean Sea with the Gulf of Corinth.  With this impressive engineering feat ships can avoid circumnavigating the Peloponnese peninsula for more than 400 km to reach the Ionian Sea. Continuing our tour we will visit the theater of Epidaurus, worldwide famous for its acoustics and still in use today for a range of performances, especially in the summer. We will also spend time at the museum of Asclepius, father of modern medicine, and then travel through the city of Nafplio, the first capital of modern Greece.  Our journey will take us to Mycenae where we will visit the prehistoric Acropolis, Lions Gate and the tomb of "Agamenon". In the afternoon we will traverse central Peloponnese and arrive in the city of Olympia in the early evening. Dinner and accommodation.

FROM OLYMPIA TO THE NAVEL OF THE WORLD - DELPHI

FROM OLYMPIA TO THE NAVEL OF THE WORLD - DELPHI

In the morning we will visit the site of the old Olympic stadium, where the first games were held around 776 BC. The importance of these games was apparent, given the extensive participation of the Greek cities, which suspended hostilities throughout the celebrations. The Olympiad was recognized as the only accepted chronological event all over Greece and, in essence, it constituted the period of four years between two consecutive events.

Olympia was also the most important sanctuary of Ancient Greece, a place to worship Zeus, the first among the gods. A gigantic sculpture in gold and ivory was made by Phidias and was one of the seven wonders of the ancient world. After our visit to the Museum of Olympia, we will continue our journey to Delphi passing by a modern architectural wonder this time, the suspension bridge of Rio - Antirion.

We will arrive at Delphi, have dinner and rest.

FROM ATHENS TO THE ORACLE OF DELPHI & METEORA, KALAMBAKA
5
FROM ATHENS TO THE ORACLE OF DELPHI & METEORA, KALAMBAKA

In the morning and after a refreshing breakfast we will make our way to Delphi, a UNESCO World Heritage site and the center or navel of the ancient world.  It was here where the renowned Oracle of Delphi, a counsellor of kings and pilgrims, took shelter. We cannot miss out on a visit to the museum which houses the "bronze charioteer", a masterpiece of Greek sculpture. At the end of our Delphi tour, we will leave the slopes of Mount Parnassus, and will head towards the plains of Thessaly where the city of Kalambaka is located. Arrival in Kalambaka, dinner and accommodation.

FROM KALAMBAKA TO ATTICA - ATHENS

FROM KALAMBAKA TO ATTICA - ATHENS

Early in the morning we will visit Meteora, also recognised by UNESCO as a world heritage site since 1988, where the natural beauty of the region is combined with the eternal monasteries suspended or "meteora" on top of the huge rocks. Currently there remain only six in use, five for the male and one for the female monastic community.  On the way back to Athens, we will pass by Thermopylae, where we can see the statue of the Spartan King Leonidas I, famous for leading the battle against the Persians in 480 BC. Back to Athens in the afternoon and drop off to your hotel.

FROM ATHENS TO MYKONOS - NAVIGATING THE AEGEAN LIKE ODYSSEUS

Early in the morning, one of our private vehicles will be waiting for you along with your assistant to transfer you to the port of Piraeus where you will board the ferry to the famous island of Mykonos. The crossing is scheduled at the ideal time of the day so as to enjoy the sun on deck and marvel at the deep blue of the Aegean sea.

Upon your arrival to the island, one of our English speaking representatives will be waiting to welcome you, transfer you to your hotel and introduce you to this famous island. The rest of the day is free for you to relax and immerse yourself in the kind of 'slow life' life that the friendly islanders are accustomed to.

MYKONOS: RELAX, SUN, BEACH AND HISTORY

MYKONOS: RELAX, SUN, BEACH AND HISTORY

Free day to enjoy this magnificent island. Mykonos is the meeting point of the international "jet set", famous for its wonderful beaches, the dazzling shops and vibrant nightlife. Just a few minutes away by ferry, it is the historic island of Delos, which, according to Greek mythology, is the birthplace of Apollo and Artemis. This small island, inhabited since 3000 B.C., was one of the most important cultural centers of antiquity. We recommend hiring a car or a motorcycle to venture out in the island, view the local customs and feel like a Mykonian.

Approaching the island, you will have the opportunity to admire the capital city of Fira, with its white houses overhanging the cliffside and facing the volcano.

Upon your arrival, one of our English speaking representatives will be waiting for you at the port to welcome you, direct you to your hotel and comment a little more on the highlights of this picturesque island. The rest of the day is free to wander through the narrow streets and watch one of the most beautiful sunsets in the world.

DISCOVERING SANTORINI

Considered to be the lost continent of Atlantis, this day is reserved for you and your companion to explore this magical island. Alternatively, you can choose to go on a dazzling sailboat tour that comprises visits to the small islands inside the caldera, Nea and Palea Kameni, with the hot springs of green and yellow waters. All the time, the capital city of Fira will never be far away but will faithfully accompany us throughout the cruise tour. We also recommend you renting a vehicle in order to get to know more about this island, taste its wine and its excellent local cuisine.
