Package Tour Itinerary: Fes

Upon arrival at Fez airport, you will be greeted by an English-speaking assistant to provide you with all the necessary information for your stay in the city and accompany you in the transfer to the hotel in one of our private vehicles and help you with registration.
The rest of the day will be to relax and enjoy the city at your own pace. Fez is the third most populous city in the country and one of the four imperial cities along with Meknes, Marrakech and Rabat. It is considered the capital of Islam in Morocco because its university is famous for the study of Arabic and the Muslim religion. It also has the largest pedestrian medina (old quarter) in the world declared a World Heritage Site.

After a delicious breakfast you will begin the visit through the Golden Doors of the Royal Palace, seven bronze doors of different sizes represent the seven days of the week and the seven levels of the monarchy. You will visit the Medina (old quarter) with its Madrasa of Bou Anania (the madrasas are the Islamic schools), the Nejjarine Fountain, one of the most beautiful in the medina and the oldest in Fez, the Karaouine Mosque, one of the most important centers cultures of Islam with a library with more than 30,000 copies, in addition to the headquarters of the University of Fez, and the Mausoleum of Moulay Idriss, the most revered saint in Morocco.
You will make a stop along the way in the famous neighborhood of the tanners, unique in the world, to later have lunch (not included). In the afternoon you will continue to get to know Fez and its beautiful artisan neighborhoods divided by guilds. Finally you will return to the hotel to stay.
Greca Tip: It is worth sitting in one of the restaurants in Bab Lahdim Square and watching life go by while having a tea or a cane juice.

After a wonderful breakfast you will cross fertile valleys until you reach the city of Meknes, a World Heritage Site and one of the four imperial cities along with Marrakesh, Fez and Rabat and the ancient capital of Morocco. You will visit this fortified city starting with its walls and its great gates (bab, in Moroccan): Bab el Mansur, the largest gate in the country and in North Africa, the Agdal Pond, built for irrigation in the area, the Bab Lahdim Square, epicenter of the city's activity. Then you will have free time.
Later you will go to Volubilis, an ancient Roman city, 20 km from Meknes. You will visit this archaeological site, perhaps the best preserved in North Africa and a World Heritage Site, with a specialized guide.
You will end with the return to Fez, where you will enjoy the afternoon free and accommodation at the hotel.
Tip Greca: You can't leave Meknes without visiting the market and trying the delicious olives they sell.

After an exquisite breakfast and at the agreed time, transfer to the Fez airport.
After spending some fantastic days with Greca, we hope to see you again to enjoy some wonderful moments that will remain forever in your memory. Have a good trip, or as you say yourself, Rihlat saeida!
