All right
For now everything is very correct, but I do not understand the reason to go to Santotini making a stopover in Athens when there is a direct flight Those details should not happen.

Excursion Itinerary: Vatican Museums In The Morning

Today you will join this regular group tour of the Vatican Museums and St. Peter's Basilica.

Inside the Vatican Museums your expert English-speaking guides will share their knowledge of the Vatican’s 4,000 year-old history, share secrets and stories of days gone by, whilst taking you round the Gallery of Tapestries, the Gallery of Maps - what seems like a never-ending room decorated with beautifully detailed Italian maps, the Gallery of Candelabras - where you will gaze in awe at the ancient sculptures and extravagant candelabras from the Imperial villas. You will finish off with a stroll in Bramante’s Pinecone Courtyard, where you can wander, bathed in the sunshine and the delights of the garden, or get your souvenir holiday snap by the bronze Pigna statue.

Your next stop will be the best part of your trip to Rome, the Sistine Chapel – an experience you will never forget! You will marvel at Michelangelo’s famous The Creation of Adam, The Last Judgement and spend time taking in the enchantment of the Pope’s private chapel.

The last visit will be to the beautiful St Peter’s Basilica. Here you will immerse yourself in the home of the Catholic Church, take time to admire Michelangelo's sculpture La Pietà and Bernini’s Baldacchino – the ornate bronze canopy that sits above St Peter’s high altar. The construction of the Basilica lasted 160 years with the engagement of first-rate artists. Maderno's façade, Michelangelo's dome, or Bernini's Square are just some of the wonders that will draw your attention during your visit. You will also be able to pay your respects to the tomb of John Paul II and that of John XXIII.

The Basilica of Saint Peter houses the Holy See, the most important religious edifice of Catholicism, where the Pope celebrates the most important religious services. The Basilica owes its name to the first Pope in history, Saint Peter, whose body is believed to lie inside, below the high altar of the basilica.

At the end of your tour, you can linger in the Vatican City for the rest of the day or join one of the other tours available to some of the city's important landmarks.

Greca Tip: Take into account that on Wednesdays, when the Papal Blessing takes place, St. Peter's Basilica is closed to the public. In this case, we offer an extended visit of the Museums.
