Excursion Itinerary: Mini Cruise To Alonissos From Skopelos

ONE-DAY MINI CRUISE TO ALONISSOS FROM SKOPELOS
1
ONE-DAY MINI CRUISE TO ALONISSOS FROM SKOPELOS

Your Planitis schooner cruise begins at 10:00 at the main port of Skopelos. First you will head towards the uninhabited island of Peristera, located a short distance west from Alonissos. Underwater archaeological research has brought to light an old shipwreck along with a number of other archaeological findings revealing that the Sporades islands have always been an important shipping route since ancient times. There are many caves around the island where the Mediterranean monk seal "Monachus-monachus" lives and reproduces safely. With any luck you will see pods of monk seals and dolphins.

On this tour you will pass by the rocky islands of "Two Brothers" and the idyllic south-eastern coast of Alonissos, where you will reach "Leftos Gialos" beach, one of the best beaches in Alonnisos with crystal clear waters. Here, in the creek  there are  some local taverns, where you will have enough time to swim and enjoy the sea and the sun. Your next stop will be Agios Dimitrios beach, with free time for a swim. We will serve a buffet-style lunch aboard the cruise boat with pure Greek flavors accompanied by white house wine and soft drinks for the little ones. On the way back to Skopelos, you will make the last stop at the main port called Patitiri, where you will have a couple of hours at your disposal to explore the port and also swim in its small pebble beach. You will return to Skopelos at around 18:00, enjoying a spectacular sunset.

A day cruise not to miss, especially as the ferry connection to Alonissos is not as frequent. Take advantage of this opportunity with the boat Planitis and spend the day in this sister island of the sporades archipelago.

Greca Tip: In Patitiri, you can visit the Alonissos Museum, a four-storey building located 30 meters away from its harbour. It is a local museum that in addition to Alonissos' historical items, focuses on weapons and objects used in the early days by pirates of the Aegean Sea.
