Excursion Itinerary: Quintessential Rome

The Vatican Museums is not only the largest museum in the world, but it is also one of the most visited, with more than 6 million visitors a year. After meeting with the official guide at our meeting point, you will be given headphones and you will arrive at the entrance of the Vatican Museums avoiding long waits. It will be a walk through the various rooms, visiting all those main places that have been heard as the Gallery of the Cartographic Maps, the Gallery of the Tapestries, the Apartments of the Borgia. Your guide will tell you all about Raphael's Rooms and his exceptional paintings, including the School of Athens, and will take you to the Sistine Chapel, whose ceiling is magnificently decorated with frescoes of The Creation and The Last Judgment. Then you will visit the majestic St. Peter's Square, the open space in front of the Basilica, redesigned by Gian Lorenzo Bernini, an architectural masterpiece of the Baroque era. The Basilica of Saint Peter is not only the largest church in the world, but also contains many works of Fine Arts such as the Baldaquino designed by Gian Lorenzo Bernini or La Pietà by Michelangelo (only the exterior is visited)
Then they will have free time to explore the area and stop for lunch , then continue with the next tour.
The Colosseum is a must for every traveler visiting Rome. The majestic amphitheater used to be the heart of entertainment in Imperial Rome: this huge structure of travertine marble and limestone could hold between 50,000 and 80,000 spectators, all eager for powerful spectacles such as hunting games or gladiator fights. A professional guide is the best way to fully enjoy a walk inside the Colosseum and learn more about the building and what was happening there 80 years before Christ, when its inauguration included one hundred days of free games open to all citizens. We will have priority to enter avoiding the general lines. The excursion includes a guided walk through the Roman Forum, the political and cultural center of Ancient Rome, as well as a walk through the Palatine Hill, the area where the city was legendaryly founded by Romulus and Remus and where the emperors chose to live.
Tip Greca: Remember to wear comfortable shoes and water to drink on the way. For the visit to the Vatican there are rules on clothing, knees and shoulders must be covered.
