Cruise Itinerary: Adriatic

Boarding begins at 20:30 hrs. while the departure is at 23:59 hs. It is now the time for you to enjoy a beautiful cruise, admire the deep blue of the Adriatic or participate in one of the activities and services offered onboard. Greca Travel includes full board, 3 excursions, and an unlimited alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks package, so that your only concern is to have a good time.

You will start the day with a tasty breakfast, after a peaceful night sailing. This day is dedicated to your enjoyment, to relax onboard and enjoy the comforts, services, and activities offered by the cruise.

At 10:00 a.m., you will wake up in the Port of Corfu, in the Ionian Sea. You will enjoy a tasty breakfast and then start the day in a wonderful mood. Corfu Island is one of the most populated islands in Greece and one of the most beautiful and fascinating. Guests from all over the world choose it as a holiday destination for its beaches, its temperate climate, its luxurious nature and lively nightlife. Corfu, strongly influenced by the Venetians, the French and the English has a cosmopolitan, multicultural charm and is also worth visiting for the art, history and culture.

In 2007 the Old Town of Corfu, the homonymous capital of the island, was declared by UNESCO a World Heritage site for both its authenticity and individual character: traces of the Greek history, the Byzantine spirituality, the Norman and typical influences from southern Italy, the Venetian Renaissance elegance, the eternal French charm, the imposing English neoclassicist styles all coexist in perfect harmony.

During this wonderful day, you will be able to take part in the excursion "The perennial Green Island", which will allow you to understand a little better its historical and natural importance. It will be a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in the atmosphere and chat with the locals in one of the cafes, bars, and restaurants all around you.

At the end of the visit, you will have free time to continue exploring the island at your own pace. Then, at 7:00 p.m., the cruise ship will sail on to your next destination.

Greca Tip: Visit the neoclassical palace of Achilleion and tour the gardens and its interior full of memorabilia relating to Elisabeth of Bavaria, Empress of Austria.

At 07:00 hrs and after a peaceful night's sailing, you will wake up in the western coast of Greece, arriving at the port of Patras. This city is not only the most populous in the Peloponnese peninsula, but it is one of the most important seaports in Greece for its connections with Italy, the Ionian Islands and all of Western Europe.

Patras is a city with a long history, founded in classical times, when it became a member of the second Akhaion League, a confederation of the autonomous states of the northern Peloponnese region.

Here, you will have free time to explore the city at your own pace. We recommend visiting the squares of Psila Alonia and Georgiou I, the Municipal Theater of Apollon or the Nikodimos church. Also, well known is the Akhaia Clauss winery, where the famous sweet red wine 'Mavrodafni ' is produced. A place that is worth visiting is the Orthodox Cathedral of Saint Andrew, built in the Byzantine architectural style and the largest in the country. Tradition has it that Saint Andrew was martyred by crucifixion in the city of Patras, and the cathedral is an important pilgrimage shrine, as his skull and pieces of the cross he was crucified on are preserved in a reliquary by the altar. For history lovers, we recommend visiting the Roman Odeon, built even before the well-known Odeon of Herod in Athens and is located in the upper part of the city.  The Odeon was destroyed by earthquakes and wars but after many years of excavations, it has regained its original shape.  It has a capacity for 2,300 spectators and today is used for concerts, theatrical performances, and other events. Another essential monument is the Castle of Patras, built in the 6th century A.D. by the Byzantine emperor Justinian on the site of the ancient Acropolis. Patra is also a city full of museums. The Archaeological Museum, the Folk Museum, the Historical Museum of Ethnography or the Museum of Journalism are some of the city's main attractions.

At the end of your day in Patras, at 5:00 p.m., your cruise ship will set sail to your next destination, the city of Kotor, in Montenegro.

Greca Tip: If not in a sightseeing mood head straight to the pedestrian Riga Fereou street, lined with shops, cafés, and bars or to the Turkish Baths, a tranquil haven to relax.

After a quiet night sailing north, you will enjoy a refreshing breakfast, towards the coast of Montenegro. At around 14:00 hrs we will reach the city of Kotor, a beautiful fortified coastal town, declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO and the most famous city in Montenegro.
The old part of the city preserves buildings, churches, squares and stone streets dating from the Middle Ages. The walled city without cars is in front of the city's cruise ship dock. Here, you can enjoy the "Walking tour in Kotor" which is included, so that you will get to know it more thoroughly and enjoy its historical, architectural and natural beauty. Once the excursion is finished and at 22:00 hrs the cruise will set sail again to the Croatian coast.

Having sailed quietly all night, you will wake up on the Croatian coast, in the port of Dubrovnik. You will enjoy an abundant and tasty breakfast to begin your day with energy. Dubrovnik is a beautiful Croatian coastal city, located on the shores of the Adriatic Sea. It is a walled city and was formerly dominated by the Byzantines, Venetians, Hungarians, and Turks. In 1979 it was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, due to its historical importance. This day is specially designed for you to enjoy Dubrovnik, explore and discover its beautiful streets, mix with its local population, enjoy its stores and shops. In Dubrovnik, you will not only find beautiful stone beaches with unusual charm but also cultural experiences, since it is a place full of elegance, buildings that will take us to a time when luxury and ostentation were the protagonists. We recommend you visit the great wall, to take some lovely panoramic photos. We also recommend that you visit Stradum (Plate) which is the main street of Dubrovnik and crosses the historic center of the city. Visit the Cathedral, with inauguration date in 1670; You can also visit the island of Lokrum, a small island in size but large in history and natural treasures. After a spectacular day of the visit, the cruise will depart at night, at 10:00 p.m. towards the next Croatian destination, Split city.

At 07:00 hs, you will wake up in the port of Split, considered one of the most beautiful cities in Croatia and the second-largest city in the country. It offers a wide range of cultural, historical and diverse tours, such as water activities, hiking, among others. The city was founded in the 4th century AD. C. Since the Roman emperor Diocletian, a native of this area built a palace for his retirement. Today it is one of the best-preserved Roman palaces.
You will have the whole day available to explore the magical city of Split with our tour included "Walking tour of Historic Split" in which you will visit the Diocletian Palace, historical symbol of the city and declared World Heritage by UNESCO; You will also visit the Ethnographic Museum and the City Museum, where you will learn more about the history of the place. You will visit its main streets, passing through the Golden Gate, the Silver Gate and different important sites. Once the excursion is finished, you will have the possibility of returning to the cruise or staying in the city center to continue traveling at your own pace. The cruise will depart in the afternoon, at 15:30 hrs, to continue sailing to Venice.

Upon arrival at the port of Venice at 09:00 hrs, breakfast, and disembarkation.

After 8 wonderful days with Greca, we hope to see you soon to forge new and emotional moments that will never leave your memory. Good trip! Or as you will say: "Buon Viaggio!"
